Of clients surveyed said they would recommend Conroy Removals to othersHi - overall happy with the services offered, especially by the delivery team. Some confusion around the monthly payment processing, and around insurance coverage initially between Conroy and our US agent
The staff were friendly and helpful from start to finish. I would definitely use their services again.
The only thing I would say is that the ToR form requirement could have been mentioned at the start.
Hi there,
we were a little disappointed in the service if I'm honest. All of the boxes were damaged and looked as though not alot of care was taken as they had been chucked around. Our TV cabinet was damaged badly and I didn't realise until after the removalist left. You also lost our Vaccuum and i was told I wouldnt have to do anything to locate it and someone would contact me but after four days I eventually just called because noone had reached out. Thankfully Mandeep was quick to find it and I have to say her service was very good she was kind and called to confirm when it was found straight away. The two men that picked our stuff up in Aus were also quite friendly and helpful.thanks, lauren
Couldnt get through to my account manager. Many emails unanswered. Frustrating.
Great price compared to competitors, everything was well packed, we were well informed along the way, and most importantly all our good arrived in great condition.
Cowboys, dropped our dryer because the delivery guys did not follow basic health and safety by putting mats down on a wet tile floor when offloading in heavy rain. One of the guys slipped, and broke our dryer. Put in a claim for this but was told it was an accident and Conroys will not accept liability. Did not even get an apology.
Boxes were packed comically bad, there were no boxes for hanging clothes items, instead they were just dumped into boxes resulting in everything needing to be re-washed/ironed after delivery.
Glad its over, will never recommend you guys to anybody.
Firstly, I'd like to say the staff member who got us to the point of accepting a contract with Conroy's was amazing. The delivery and pickup staff were equally amazing. Everywhere in between was the most painful experience I've ever had to endure. From emails going unanswered, to being told the incorrect information it was extremely dissatisfying. The reason we picked Conroy's over the many other quotes we received was because of those initial interactions with the girl we spoke with. She was informative and attentive and as a customer, it felt as though it wasn't all about the money and getting us to choose Conroys. But once we were handing over to a different person life just got frustrating. It was almost like as soon as that money was transferred, busy was done. I moved to Melbourne to undergo cancer treatment, so don't really like to be following up trying to get answers about whats going on.
We'd originally requested our items to be stored. We were told $50 inc GST, and that the insurance we purchased would be valid while our items were in storage, but if we went with our own storage we'd have to go through our items as we only have two weeks to place a claim.
Prior to the items even going through customs checks - I sent by phone and email my new Australia number and address. I asked if we could find out the exact amount of storage, to see if it was better us just getting our items delivered to my sisters, where we are temporarily staying while I'm going through treatment. Heard nothing.
Then receive an email with a quote on storage, and that our stuff had arrived in AU. Okay sweet - only a few extra dollars over what we were quoted, but I noticed a storage charge - so I queried it. And got an automated response with another quote with insurance included in the price. I'm unsure of how hard it is to type a few words back to a customer. The next person proceeded to get offended by words that I'd typed in my email. So I responded - as I'm sure you will see. But instead of having my email replied - I got a phone call to say when our items would be delivered.
The question of "How long do we have to check our stuff and put in an insurance claim" has gone unanswered. I'm absolutely over attempting to follow this up so it was definitely $500 wasted - as we've had damaged items and now you've got your money and I've got my stuff, no one seems to care.
It's a shame that our experience turned out this way, especially when some of your staff are well equipped with customer service skills and providing information and following up - where as others clearly need simple training and a bit of basic knowledge on business processes.
I understand this feedback is just going to go into a black hole email that no one will read - seems its a common theme for Conroys.
Packing an delivery great. Rest wasnt so good
