Everything went well in the end. Our only issue was our dissapointment that the itemized list of everything we had, along with a location for each item, seemed to have been totally ignored. We had, naively I guess, thought that this would help pack the trcuk in an order that made sense while unpacking it in the rain. The two gentlement who came did their best and were polite and professional at all times, but knew nothing about this list. It surprised me a little that they did not put tarps down on the floors as they moved things in, something that would be standard in the US, but the floors cleaned up OK afterward. FInally, having less than a day's notice of the delivery after waiting a month after arrival in Australia seemed harsh. Sill, we are basically very happy with the service.
Great communication
The initial communication was too light-on. There were lots of unknowns from our side and they were not explained as well as they could be (the customs process, quarantine process etc). When I called Isabella to clarify she was friendly and explained things better, however emails were not properly answered or not answered at all (last email from 2 weeks ago regarding quarantine still not answered).
We were also not informed our containers had changed ship in Malaysia so we thought there were major delays when tracking the initial ship. When Isabella sent us the invoices to pay and said our containers were arriving next week, it took several emails for her to finally tell us our containers had changed vessel. This may seem like something small from your side, but it is huge from a customer's viewpoint. We were basing our preparations here in Australia on where that vessel was, but we were looking at the wrong one!! Your "shipping status" link was rarely up to date either. the only time I got accurate info was when I called Isabella. These are our worldly possessions which we have paid a fortune to have moved around the world. It would have been good to be better informed on their whereabouts and "what's happening next" rather that find out after it had already happened.
The removalists were top notch. Professional, well-mannered, courteous, friendly and happy to do their jobs. Absolutely fabulous. We called to have the packaging removed and it was picked up the next day as promised. Very happy with this part of the service. Top marks to Dan, Clint and the other 2 men on their team. Thank you.
Initial quote and dealings with Lee were fantastic. He was great to deal with. After that went downhill. Team showed up at our place to get our stuff and didn't know it was a full pack and inventory job. They only had 2 hours allocated and it took like 4. Inventory was rushed and done poorly. Example was "4 boxes of misc stuff". This caused issues when we went through customs. They stamped it but said we may have problems when the goods actually arrive and need to be cleared, the agent said the inventory was not very good and they might want to take everything apart to confirm contents because of that. Our goods arrived a month ago and the partner company here in Canada AMJ still have everything in their warehouse. They wanted me to drive 5 hours each way to them to get released. I refused and now am waiting to hear back from them. We paid for delivery to our house here and now they want me to drive hundreds of Kms to meet them. Ridiculous. We were told when we booked that I had to bring our customs forms to the nearest customs office once the goods arrived in country then the goods would be released and delivered to our house.
Only one problem occured with the move and that involved Thai customs. I was under the impression that we could bring 2 of each certain items and would not attract Thai customs duty. This is indeed the case if the paperwork is filled in showing a family moving together. In my cas the paperwork showd only my wife Patcheree Boonmak as the mover. What that means is for electrical goods in which we had more than one i.e. TV's and Fridges alond with many other items, we were told "You must pay", even after i tried to explain that we come as a family. What this meant was that we had to pay $900 in exra customs charges. This left a sour taste regarding the whole move.

To get a hold of someone to give me an answer about my items in transit was absolutely terrible when we went to pick our bike up the battery was flat took them over an Half hour to fix the problem after we had travelled over an hour and told them the day prior that we would be riding the motorcycle away and they had myself my partner and my baby waking around in warehouse which made me feel like safety was not there as they had forklifts moving and driving around to us no hi Vis was and one of the grips on the bike were damaged on a brand new Harley Davidson i am disgusted in the company
Was and excellent experience great communication would use Conroy again and I hz e recommend Conroy to friends and family.
I used Conroy removals for shipping my stuff from Melbourne to Christchurch, NZ. Excellent service. At every stage they kept me in the loop and communicated with me. Everything was received in a great condition, well packed by Conroy. I'll highly recommend this moving company.
I would like to thank your driver Clint and his offsider. They were not loaded with a box from the depot but he stayed in touch with me and delivered it to me 2 days later. The communication was excellent
I informed your staff we have our own freight forwarding company, although specialise in oil and gas projects rather than personal effects, I say this because i have a good knowlege of the industry and i wanted to use our employees to minimise costs. I found your customs cearance charge excessive, i know what our customs guys charges and whilst i dont expect you work it at cost your fee was somewhat excessive. I asked if we could clear my cargo but was told no, i dont understand why this was so difficult. I found communication with your representative unhelpful, at times incorrect and unprofessional. Even our operations people were completely confused by what i and they were being told as it was incorrect. Pack up in the UK and delivery in Canberra were faultless
