Of clients surveyed said they would recommend Conroy Removals to othersWhen I eventually received my furniture chests of drawers upended so drawers won't open, boxes in poor shape , corner unit upside down when I unpacked it.....should have been done by removalists. I have a China cabinet with broken leadlight doors and drawers that can't open. Very disappointed
(1) Generally very happy with the job and work done by Conroys in moving my home.
(2) All part of Conroys: from sales; to drivers and loading hands; were very responsive to my enquiries
(3) Disappointed that pick up and delivery locations were not adequately surveyed for access - this risk was not well managed in my view (for either myself or Conroys)
(4) For the pick up, there were 2 men: the driver and the loading hand - the driver was doing intentory and labelling most of the time, which left a single loading hand to load the vast majority of stuff by himself - this, in my view increased the risk of damage to my stuff and injury to the loading hand.
(5) The biggest problem I had is with the labels used for inventory, which can only be removed with considereable time - the removal of which is causing some damage to some of my stuff. These labels are stupid, in my view - they take 5 secs to put on and 5 to 10minutes to take off (it takes 8 to 16 hours to take off 100 labels). The adhesive is one issue, but the paper backing of the label is a bigger issue - it is so thin, it almost impossible to remove without tearing.
Great communication on both ends Sydney & Auckland.
thank you so much, really appreciated hassle free.
Everything went very smoothly and the agents were in constant touch all the way. The only problem was that the delivery guys were given the wrong delivery address but they called me and were very kind to send our items to the correct address within minutes.
My sister and I used Conroy Removals in 2020 when we relocated from Perth to Brisbane (me), and Perth to New Zealand (my sister). We both found Conroy Removals to be warm, friendly, and extremely helpful with any and/or all queries we had. The freight arrived safely in both destinations and so when I made the decision to return to New Zealand, I again, chose Conroy Removals to ship my items home. Conroy Removals are a great company who care about the customer from the initial online booking; or from a telephone chat. I would highly recommend Conroy Removals to family, friends and community for any removal services. Top quality service from start to finish. Many thanks.
Everything went smoothly. The 2 guys who came were brilliant, although conroys should provide them with better moving equipment, just to save their poor backs, especially going up steps.
Great communication, fast delivery.
I recommend Conroy removalists extremely highly. The video call was excellent and affirmed my decision to use your services. Well done Justin. Janelle was a great mediator and Leon and Darren experts at packing. Unloading was just as efficient, with Lee and Harley courteous and helpful. I have already recommended you all to my neighbour. Excellent. From Ruth.
The guys were absolutely amazing. They were so careful and patient with our furniture and us. Thank you
Everything arrived to Melbourne safe and sound! Great service!
Very happy with the service. Communications were prompt and efficient.
Very helpful when I had any questions.
Thanking you for the care taken with my shipment.
I was initially happy with Conroys service. The sales person, and the lady who assessed how much space I would need were excellent.
The two people who came to pack and take my goods, were polite, efficient and hard-working. I found the removal experience at that point very good indeed
I didn't like the tracking method. I understand there were delays due to Covid. The only notification I got, was a repeated change to the Arrival date in the tracking with no explanation. The process took nearly 4 months, after an inital estimate of 6 weeks to 3 months. I really feel that some greater contact was needed in unusual circumstances to explain the repeated change in arrival date.
I was happy that my goods were going to be unpacked, and the boxes and other rubbish removed. I was not very happy to be told once the goods had arrived that they were not allowed to put anything on the floor, and so I had to work to empty boxes myself, so that I could clear the counter for other things to be put onit. I was asked to check in the boxes off as I came in, but refused because I am quite blind. Had I been doing that job though, I wouldn't have been able to work at clearning surfaces so that more items could be put on them. My place is small without many surfaces. I didn't want to be left doing the whole job, as my eyesight would have made that difficult, as well as my expectation that the job would be done for me.
One of the workers was great, and respected my possessions. I found the other worker very careless. The second worker unpacked by tipping the boxes out on the beds and couches. This was disrespectful to my possessions, and made a very big mess for me to sort out and clean up. Furniture was put on top of the bed - an ottoman, when it should surely have gone on the floor, and then other things could have been placed there. The contents of my office draw, with ink, coloured pens etc was poured onto my uncovered mattress. If he had mentioned it to me, I would have got him a tray or something to put it on. In the end, two boxes were poured out onto the ground, which left a poorly wrapped lamp rolling on the floor, damaged, and a wi-fi light=bulb rolling round where I might have stood on it - since I'm blind. An expensive polished wooden box was just tipped out of the same box (again completely unwrapped) upside-down, as was another jewellery box. I found this very disrespectful, and don't regard this process as "unpacking". The same worker flung paper across the roomo which had a teacup from a Complete Vintage Dinner Set which of course, smashed into smithereens. He didn't even apologize. I was nearly in tears, as the set belonged to my mother. They muttered something about the packing not being done properly, but I had unpacked three of the kitchen boxes, and found the packing was done well in those boxes. If there is pressure to get the boxes empty quickly, and in a small pace, not many surfaces to put them on, it would be helplful if I could have been advised that a) I would need to help, and b) it be suggested that someone else would be needed to help. I could possibly have arranged for someone else to come and help me, although I don't know many people here. My keyboard had a smashed corner. It obviousy needed firmer wrapping.
I used Conroys because I had previously used them to move my Mother from Whangarei to Christchurch, and they had done an excellent job. I don't know if there's been a policy change or just one worker who is disrespectful of customers property.
