"disappointing overall"
Our experience was great from the Australian side of things however since our goods were collected on the 27th October and it's now the 8th of February we still haven't got possession of our goods even though they have cleared through customs already. The contact in Northern Ireland had mentioned they would be seeing what other deliveries were due in our area and after paying thousands for what we thought was an efficient service we now seem to be waiting on other customers which isn't good when you live in a remote area. Unfortunately this has been very disappointing overall.
"This moving experience was made very STRESSLESS"
I have moved MANY times within Townsville and interstate in my time. This moving experience was made very STRESSLESS due to the 3 men that did my move. Not only were they friendly, however they were very respectful and efficient. I had my 77 yr old Mother stay at my old unit while I started preparing things at the new place. They ensured they left my lounge until last so she had somewhere to sit until the end. I have never had such a pleasant moving experience. I work for a very large organisation and have already told many people about my good experience. Keep up the great work and thank you for making what can be a very stressful experience, a very comfortable one. 10/10
"The office person was rude to deal with"
The office person was rude to deal with. In one phone conversation where I was asking some question about where our belonging were up to she got all defensive and rude to the point I had to ask her to watch the way she was speaking to me. Our quote was 3 to 5 weeks and it was 7 weeks. My sons collectible Lego items worth $1,000's that were labeled fragile were carried in with the boxes the wrong way up and the majority of it was smashed to pieces. The unpacking service was basically non existent, considering that's what we paid for. Our leather lounge and a wooden book shelf had tape stuck to it that left marks when removed.
"Regrettably, we feel let down by your service"
Regrettably, we feel let down by your service. The moving contract specifically stated "Verification of packing inventory and unwrapping" and "removal of used packing material on the day of the delivery". It was with disappointment that on the day, we were left with over 60 boxes to unpack because the crew said they could not place any items on bookcases, cabinets, couch, floor, etc. If this is part of OHS law in Australia, please make sure that this is well defined in the moving contract. Interestingly, your crew assembled three tables but none was used to place items. In fact, the crew made limited attempt to use the available surfaces (kitchen counter, cabinets, etc.) to initially unpack the boxes. And at no point did they offer to use the available surfaces, nor did they say this was an option. We were unnecessarily left with boxes to unpack, which resulted in major inconvenience, nuisance, and in us missing an additional day of work. Finally, not only were we left with boxes to unpack (service fully paid for!) as we were told we had to prepare them for pick-up on a different date!
We were expecting the same level of service and professionalism provided in North America and in Europe (and by excellent Orbit). We have been moving internationally every two years for the last 10 years, and this is the first time we felt deceived by a moving company. If it was made more clear in the contract that you were not providing full unwrapping service, we would have happily pre-arranged unpacking, even in collaboration with another company, since my employer was paying for the move. We should also emphasize that we were actively helping the crew throughout the moving day to the best of our ability: my husband is disabled due to a recent injury and was unable to lift items over 5kg.
We do appreciate that when I called to enquire about what happened, Conroy's administration did provide us with some help the next day – hence, we are giving 2 stars instead of 1. On a different note, the admin./supporting service was stellar throughout the process. It was just too bad that the delivery services were so unsatisfactory.
"The truck arrived as promised"
The services from Conroy were truly excellent. Initial communication was via email to alert us to the fact our shipment was on its way. The email even gave the name of the vessel so it was fun to watch it make its way to us via one of the on-line sites which track shipping vessels!!
Once our shipment arrived and cleared customs and quarrantine, Conroy arranged a suitable date and time to make delivery.
The truck arrived as promised and the guys were friendly and fast in unloadingas we required.
We would not hesitate in recommending Conroy for their friendliness, efficiency and professionalism.

"The guys delivering was excellent"
The guys delivering was excellent, they did a good job but I believe I was overcharged on the extra charges i.e. extra $150 above the extra $520 that I paid. Your partner in Singapore - Astro - was terrible with customer service i.e. they did not answer my calls, did not respond to e-mails. There were damages due to the packing from Singapore.
"had to email multiple times"
Initially the service was great, I was given plenty of information and I was always able to speak to someone if I had a querey, however after payment had been made, my belongings collected and I had left the country I found that communnication was not so easy, on a few occassions I had to email multiple times before I received a response.
Overall the move took significantly longer than I had expected.

"service from Conroys was excellent from start to finish"
The service from Conroys was excellent from start to finish. I spoke to Jenna Boardman (apologies is that is spelt wrong) on a number of occasions awhile was VERY helpful and sympathetic to our enquires. Also the 3 guys who moved all our furniture into the house were polite and helpful and provided an excellent overall experience to our move.
"I am not likely to use them again"
The staff were polite and responsive. However, I am not likely to use them again because (1) one box stil missing (2) some broken items( about 6-7 items). (3) ops staff did not inform me upfront or offer to unwrap all the bulky items (4) overcharged for difficult access - overhanging Optus cable can actually be pushed up to allow truck to go through but driver refused and resulted in 1 hour overtime. I was charged a whopping $250 for that.
i have had a great overall customer experience, i got all my funiture and other goods all fine except for recieving a broken tv which i cant fix because i didnt have insurence but thats my problem. thank you anyways.
