Customer service in NZ was excellent. Unfortunately from there things declined. My item ( Wooden Chest of drawers) - arrived damaged in 3 different places from lack of care during transit plus in my opinion not enough packaging. Very disappointed.
Very poor communication, I emailed few time and no reply to point I had to call to see why my furniture after 3 months was still sat in Australia when this was not said, Everything was ok until you received my full payment for my stuff to be shipped to uk, I am very upset as I thought I did my research and person on phone (Brisbane) polite and reassuring that it’s all in good hand it’s just another place wanting your money and once they have it they are not interested.
The gap between the estimated cost of 115kg and the invoice cost for 40kg was nowhere near 75/115. It was almost the same. When I raised this as an issue the correct response might have been to invoice 40/115 of the estimated cost. This was not done and my airfreight was returned efficiently to me. Having had the goods returned to me I weighed them. It was less than 30kg. You staff on telephone enquiries, packing and removal were friendly and helpful, but the estimate/invoicing and weight discrepancy I found challenging.

It’s a shame that the Melbourne office is going to receive this rating but naively I have already rated Auckland (5 stars) before actually receiving my shipment.
Second time ive used them but this time paid for “Expert packing. Do yourself a favour a pack yourself!!
My 60” TV was smashed (not placed into a box), my drawer legs are bent (no contents removed so too heavy), dishes were smashed, toys damaged and 2 boxes missing.
Was told someone would contact me but no one back in Auckland seems to want to deal with me.
Hopefully someone in Australia reading this will think again when using Conroys in and out of NZ.

The crew cut all my tie straps with a knife instead of undoing them . The scratched my motorcycle tank during unloading and cut my bags . They were too lazy to unpack it properly so they just destroyed it . I am also missing 5 of my motorcycle tie down straps which I think someone thought they might need them more than me .I would not recommend them to anyone and will warn everyone what a horrible experience I had . They even charge me more than my quote and still didn’t do the job correctly or even cared what damage they did

Justin was lovely throughout the quoting process and arranging pick up whilst I was overseas. So I thought everything was in good hands.
I had even recommended a friend use your services to move to NZ after dealing with Justin
However my moving 'back in' experience had been disappointing to say the least.
There has been significant damage to my belongings including a number of leather furniture items with scraps and tears and puncture marks, tables with scratches, chips and scraps and cabinets with chunks out of legs and corners broken off, plus glass in frames broken.
This was meant to be a fairly simple pack out, store and return to the same address. If this much damage can be caused locally, I could n it imagine what could be done in a bigger move.
It looks like everything was scrapped across the concrete or door way to cause the amount of damages on one side of much of the furniture.
I am very house proud and this has caused significant stress to me. I did not expect the utter disregard for my belongings when they were in your care.
I moved 3 times with Conroy so far, both interstate
First 2 were great, but the third was a nightmare: Items lost, items damaged, lengthy and convuluted insurance claim, 3 months after still not compensated for damages and waiting for them to accept the claim.
The New Zealand branch was extremly mis-leading with their quote, and when they came to pack up the items, they never once told me that I had to supply boxes. I had 10 freight boxes sitting in the garage ready to use, but was told I would not need them. After pick-up, I was then told it would cost me extra for packaging. Every question I had asked via email, was not answered, I left multiple messages and could not get answers to simple questions. I supplied my Brisbane address multplie times to the New Zealand branch and the Brisbane branch, but I was messaged a number of times from different staff members requesting my address. I also stated from day 1 that we were up 3 flights of stairs and stated this in my information. Not once was I told it would cost extra to delier upstairs. Being on my own (small female) with a 3 year old made it very difficult to cart all the boxes upstairs. The delivery guys in Brisbane were awesome, and helped get the mattress upstairs. I can not fault the delivery guys. Overall, I would NEVER use Conroys again. Terrible service, no communication between customer and within their own teams. Regretting using them as it was highly stressul. I understand that this feedback wont change a thing so not sure why you ever ask for feedback.
Never ever use Conroy for any removals. Given 5-7 weeks delivery time period,by written contract and phone confirmation, Conroy took more than 15 weeks to deliver my household items at my address. When enquiries made, staff members divert phone calls to various staff members. Strange enough to receive a feedback form in 10 weeks, even 5 weeks before the home delivery. Damage happened to the couches as well. Now it's with the tribunal for a compensation decision.
