I will never use Conroy again or recommend using them to anyone, if you do get sucked in don't bother getting insurance.
Late delivery, poor communication, unreasonable policies they don't point out, untrained delivery staff, the list goes on were all part of our bad experience

Was not notified in advance that one of my boxes went missing. While the delivery was taking place, i noticed one box was not there.
There was very little attempt by your company to help locate the missing box. I was advised to contact the packing company, even though the box supposedly went missing in Customs.
Very unhelpful and poor customer service.
We were extremely disappointed with our interstate removal from Brisbane to Perth. Our furniture items were not adequately packed or protected within the container for the move interstate. We feel there was a lack of respect and due care taken when Conroy Removals collected and packed these items for transport. Items were damaged beyond repair and two framed artworks suffered severe glass damage. These items were part of an inheritence from a deceased estate and this has caused great angst within the family. It is very difficult to put a monetary value on these items, although we are currently trying to assess current replacement value. Your company came highly recommended by a family friend who had employed your services on several occasions with interstate moves. This friend is highly embarrassed and mortified that we have had this experience with a company they recommended.
My car was delivered in NZ damaged and yet I was declined my claim which I paid insurance for. Conroys took no responsibility. Absolutely appalling and disgusting service.
Never ever use Conroy for any removals. Given 5-7 weeks delivery time period,by written contract and phone confirmation, Conroy took more than 15 weeks to deliver my household items at my address. When enquiries made, staff members divert phone calls to various staff members. Strange enough to receive a feedback form in 10 weeks, even 5 weeks before the home delivery. Damage happened to the couches as well. Now it's with the tribunal for a compensation decision.
my camphor box was damaged, unrepairable, one plastic container was smashed and taped up and said it was picked up like that! do they just throw stuff around no requard! will never use your service again! disgusting!!! demand refund
Customer service in NZ was excellent. Unfortunately from there things declined. My item ( Wooden Chest of drawers) - arrived damaged in 3 different places from lack of care during transit plus in my opinion not enough packaging. Very disappointed.
Very poor communication, I emailed few time and no reply to point I had to call to see why my furniture after 3 months was still sat in Australia when this was not said, Everything was ok until you received my full payment for my stuff to be shipped to uk, I am very upset as I thought I did my research and person on phone (Brisbane) polite and reassuring that it’s all in good hand it’s just another place wanting your money and once they have it they are not interested.
The gap between the estimated cost of 115kg and the invoice cost for 40kg was nowhere near 75/115. It was almost the same. When I raised this as an issue the correct response might have been to invoice 40/115 of the estimated cost. This was not done and my airfreight was returned efficiently to me. Having had the goods returned to me I weighed them. It was less than 30kg. You staff on telephone enquiries, packing and removal were friendly and helpful, but the estimate/invoicing and weight discrepancy I found challenging.

It’s a shame that the Melbourne office is going to receive this rating but naively I have already rated Auckland (5 stars) before actually receiving my shipment.
Second time ive used them but this time paid for “Expert packing. Do yourself a favour a pack yourself!!
My 60” TV was smashed (not placed into a box), my drawer legs are bent (no contents removed so too heavy), dishes were smashed, toys damaged and 2 boxes missing.
Was told someone would contact me but no one back in Auckland seems to want to deal with me.
Hopefully someone in Australia reading this will think again when using Conroys in and out of NZ.
Still waiting for a response but apparently that will happen “in due course”
After we signed up with the salesman, our whole experience with Conroy was HORRIBLE. From having to chase the invoice the day prior to the move to make full pre-payment as per their T&C's, movers asking to use our deodorant on uplift day, follow up emails asking where our items are after a total of 7 weeks since uplift day, Conroy losing 2 of our 12 items and getting the truck drivers to be the ones to tell us (where was the update & apology call from the move manager?), being told that we have to follow up the lost items one week after the delivery of our 10 other items, following up the lost 2 items to be told they have found them but they are waiting for a truck with another job to be in our area to drop off and finally to top it off, our fridge arrived with a missing leg and now wobbles around the place. We are so disapointed by Conroy and would steer anyone away from using their services.
