Shocking Service
Shocking service from Napier, New Zealand - negligence in packing items - and consequently they were broken. Conroys refused to cover repair costs and then ignored all contact in negotiating an insurance settlement. The settlement offered appears to be a breach of the terms and conditions of the insurance policy but Conroys refuse to communicate further.

To Whom it may concern.
My husband and I were very impressed with your representative who came to see us in NZ and she delivered great service in quoting us and showed passion in her work and relationship with Conroys. Her attitude towards us was great and we thought we had our house contents in good carring hands. To our dissappointment thats where it all ended. We made arrangements with Conroys in Australia for delivery to our house 16 Etheredige lane, Craigieburn, Victoria and as it so happened this was on Friday 11 May 13h00. Truck arrived on time and weather was bad with rainstorms, etc. When we opened the doors the gentlemen mentioned that they wanted to finish early and get back home in Dandenong being a Friday and dinner arragements had been made. I can understand wanting to get back home, however fail to see how their personal arrangements become my problem as a customer. Boxes and furniture were being brought into the premises and as I was marking off the box numbers I noticed how very quickly these gentlemen were working and with no attention of handling our boxes at all. Boxes were being stacked too high for a start onto the trolley as well as the sizing of the boxes too much for the trolley. Small boxes at the bottom with large ones placed ontop. Needless to say when being pushed into the house they fell off the trolley and into our sliding doors. Thankfully the doors did not break, but I cant say much for the boxes. I then urged the men to take it easy and work at a slower pace with more care. I then discovered boxes damaged and could hear breakages. The blame was then put onto us as we packed our own goods. Now I need t mention that we have moved countries before and have transported fragile goods with correct packaging materials and boxing and have had no damages in the past. The blame was then invetedly passed by saying this is how the boxes were packed into the truck. This could very well have been true, however I fail to see how this becomes my problem once again. We had furniture packed and wrapped by your company in NZ. Apon opening the items we discovered more damages especially to our wooden items. After taking some time to checkk all of our goods and make notes of what damages have been discovered it is very dissapointing to see the end result. We have come to the conclusion that failure to handling our household goods is what it boils down too. Weather it be in your storages, transportation, manhandling I could not say. All our boxes used were professional moving boxes with double walls and air bufferings at the bottom. Goods were wrapped inside with protection of either paper, cloth or bubble wrap. Boxes were clearly marked with a description of what was inside on all sides indicated with arrows wich side is up and labled with fragile tape. Surely this is one of the first lessons your staff are taught. I had plenty of crockery damaged yet my fine bone china arrived all in tact??? This makes me think that when loading and unloading boxes are misshandled in some shape or form. I have taken pictures to note the damages. What I find interessting is even the wooden furniture that was wrapped by your company were damaged and broken too!!!
So very dissapointing to see your hard earned pocessions damaged. I will be sending an email directly to the company with attachments in the next coming days and look forward to a reply.

Moving Couch
The two guys that did my move was amazing. They were very friendly and very efficient. Trying to help as much as possible. I realised that one of my couches was not delivered and informed one of the guys who immediately contacted Lee. It is now two weeks since my furniture was delivered, and I have not heard anything from Lee. I think this is such bad customer service, especially for the amount of money i paid. Hopefully Lee will contact me as I do not think it is my place to chase him.
I am really not happy with the service and will definately not use your company again.
Regards
Colette
"It took you three months to deliver my shipment"
It took you three months to deliver my shipment from Sydney. You guys made our move the worst experience ever. There is no customer service. The guys would rather blame the customer than take responsibility and sort problems out.
Missing Items
Conroys were fine to deal with, however Price Packers in new zealand did the unpack and repack for customs and damaged a lot of stuff... sadly some items were also missing.
Asked for Legal Documents
I asked for the legal documents completed for the quaranting service after payments and never received it. No I would not recommend a service that does not provide what the customer asked for.

Worst experience ever!
Never Use Again
This was my sencond time using Conroy's. First time was a Second to None Experience. Matt Conroy made it a pleaseure to move and i even had a claim for a lost item which i was fully reembused for.Upon unpacking my goods for a 2nd time, i found that my tool chest and tool trolley were servely damaged. I submitted a damage request along with photos and was subsequecly offered $550 NZD AFTER a $250 excess as a reembursment. I find it pretty poor on an international shipping company to charge the customer what im assuming is THEIR insurerers excess to pay for the damage caused while the customer trusted them with the care of their good. As a customer, we paid a large sum to ship our good only to be slapped in the face by someone elses neglect for our property. I will NEVER use Conroy Removals again nor will i be recomending their services. Adissapoint outcome to what was shaping up to be another great and stress free experiance.
Zero Respect for our Goods
It might have been the way our goods were driven over the front door threshold on hard trolley wheels (that sounded as though the door frame would break) or the fact that one of the crew dropped a large stack of boxes after overloading the trolley at least once. But the number of broken items delivered is the worst I've ever seen after moving house internationally and self packing at leat four times in the past 15 years. The fact that the LCD TV was delivered on its side in its original box which clearly demands the correct orientation, or the holes in the mattress bag made by the idiot mover in his haste to drag it onto the truck are evidence of the incompetence of the pickup crew. Clearly there's no way I could recommend or use Conroy again. The friendly customer service does not compensate the fact that Conroy's movers have zero respect for their customer's goods.
Appalling Service
AVOID CONROY REMOVALS!!! I received appalling service from Conroy culiminating in me abandoning an insurance claim for my badly damaged furniture. I paid more than $1200 dollars for insurance only to discover Conroy do not have a transparant claims process, provide no timeframes at all for resolving claims and expect customers to accept claims assessments from their own staff. I directly emailed Simon Conroy feedback about this only to have it arrogantly forwarded back to the unhelpful staff member I was originally dealing with. I received incorrect invoices, had to follow up every single action, was mucked around about dates and times for having my goods delivered and on top of several items being badly damaged, have received nothing but excuses about getting my claim resolved. Conroy's customer service ends as soon as you have paid!

It took two guys 2 hours to load and 3, yes 3 hours to unload due to one of the guys being sick and having continual cramps in his arms, hands, even his stomach!! So what should have taken just over 3 hours, took 5!!! I talked to the guys about ‘productivity’ and said I would not be paying for 5 hours and as I hadn’t been informed about paying ‘depot to depot’, I would not be paying that either. I even drove to the chemist, spent $14 on Hydrolite to help this guy. The other guy did work hard, but I was also unloading the truck to help out. This was a bad experience and I will not be using your company again!!!!
I have had roughly 15 emails about arrival dates of goods. I have also had an incorrect initial bill for storage and a bill for 450 dollars for import tax. On calling customs the official informed me that this looked wrong and told me to contact the importer who was not Conroy but someone else. This i have done but had no reply.
