Of clients surveyed said they would recommend Conroy Removals to othersWe understand the challenges with shipping and can accept the long delay experienced. What we don't accept is the poor communication and lack of customer service. A number of fragile items were broken and team could care less. Sales person lied to secure the sale. On a positive note the packets were excellent. New Zealand manager didn't even have the courtesy to respond to our complaint and passed it onto someone else which is indicative of the lack of customer service experienced. Overall a very poor service and would not recommend
Some of the goods were damaged.Mirror broken, 34" monitor crack screen, containers...
This could be due to either poor packaging by us or by the removalist throwing everything upside down, yes, when they literally dropped off the the stuff, they "dropped" off the stuff, either due to the heat or due to the heat in QLD.
We also paid quite a lot for the delivery also.
Best thing to do is hire a shipping container, load and unload yourself. You will take care of it, because it's yours not someone else's.
I'm not blaming Conroy, because there's no way they can control what the delivery guys do or even the transportation situation itself, but I just don't recommend this type of transportation to anyone who is body able to move their contents themselves.
If you are old and frail and you don't mind to risk your stuff being broken, this service is for you.
Kindest Regards

I moved from Melbourne to Gold Coast. The move was a 1 bedroom apartment. Obtaining the quote was probably the easiest part. I sent through a detailed list and the sales office called me to discuss all my items so I would receive an accurate quote. Once the quote was sent through, I sent an email asking how long it would take and I was told 8-10 days. This is why I chose Conroy. My items would go by rail. I accepted the quote and paid the full amount, upfront Total $5,513. Packers arrived on 11th Feb. That went perfectly.Uplift - 11/02/2022ETA Delivery - 19/02/2022On the 17/2/2022 (2 days before my furniture was due to arrive) I phoned Conroy Customer Service from Gold Coat and was told that my entire container was not being uplifted until the 28th of February!!. I asked why, and was simply told,"I cant answer that". I phone customer service again the next day and was told numerous excuses, but confirmed uplift from Melbourne 28th Feb. But on the 28th February my container could not be uplifted due to the floods. There was no customer service!! I had to make contact with Conroy myself every time for any updates. I was out of pocket thousands of dollars for the inconvenience and any substitute furniture & clothing I had to purchase just to live. My furniture and all of my belongings did not arrive into QLD until 17th of March. 5 1/2 weeks in transit!! I understand that the rail was jeopadised due to the floods, but what happended bofore that? It was a horrendous experience. All I had was 1 suitcase with 10 days worth of clothes. I was told 8-10 days and it took 5 1/2 weeks. I should be compensated.
It has not been a great experience dealing with Conroy removals. The most helpfull and friendly staff was the guys delivering the items from the container to our property.
The amount of emails I've had to send to follow up and get more information about the process has been crazy.
When you call operations you don't get a response. Today I called sales as you can't run a business if you not making sales and got a very helpfull lady that could share more information about when the boxes that had been unpacked can be collected.
Overall not a great a experience.
Apparently the shipment arrived at the Wellington depot on 08/02/2022, and were waiting to be unloaded and quarantinechecked. My belongings still have not been delivered, nor have I had any communication since above mentioned date. So I am pretty unhappy to put it politely
You lost one of the pecies of a shipment of 4 peices and only after calling you followed up and found the item. Still waiting on feedback on when you are going to deliver the item.
Not only did my stuff to 7 weeks to get to Me, my bed mattress is lost and was never put on my list of items, my headboard and footboard to my bed has dents and scratches over it ,on my bedside table one of the legs has come off . So not im not very impressed with the move ,and I still waiting to hear where my mattress is guess I'm going to have to look at putting a insurance claim im with yous
I have some heavy items that I was told would be no problem to move from New Zealand to Australia. I still haven't received my items almost 4 months later. I was told they had all the equipment needed to lift and deliver such items. They arrived at my house with my items and had no way of getting them off of the truck. How do you expect your delivery driver to get something off of his truck at the delivery location that you had to use a forklift to get on the truck? So I had to watch them leave with my items they couldn't get off the truck. Now almost a week later and they never return my phone calls. One of the items they have is a toolbox which I need for work. I'm not being unreasonable. These are services they said they could provide. I even paid extra for heavy items. Not sure what that paid for since they don't have the equipment to deliver heavy items.
I would like to say that I left my boxes with Kerryn Summers at Aussie Moves in early October so as they could arrive in England in late January or there abouts, I was surprised that they didn't leave your company until late December. I received one email from you telling me that they were leaving and that they'd arrive on the 7th February which I acknowledged, I could live with that. BUT from that point I was left in the dark. No correspondence from anyone. Only that I was able to track the ship. I finally received my belongings on April the 6th. So, I was without them for 6 Months and was worried that I'd never see them again. No correspondence either from the people this end as they apparently sent one email to me to the wrong email address. I then tried to contact Karen Lindsay only to be told that she had left your company and she passed my email onto you. Which no one replied to. I then had to contact Kerryn Summers in Adelaide to sort it out. Just not good enough. Fay Atkins.
