Where do I begin? Packing good, Rhonda and Brisbane office very good, but 3 weeks after our goods got cleared in Christchurch from customs and inspection where are they??? I asked the question of Conroys Christchurch "why are my goods sitting goodness know where afternoon inspection for THREE WEEKS AND THREE days and they didn't give me the courtesy of a reply. it wasn't as if these goods were not expected, they were uplifted on may 12 from Brisbane. So please could someone please explain why it takes another 3weeks and 3 days for NZ end to deliver my goods. We paid a fortune for a good service and not only will NZ end respond to why the delay, the other communications have been way off. I got call from NZ office "What box number is your lawnmower in" what box are you medicines in? Really, that is what we paid you to organise. Then we get email complaining we need to fill out forms urgently. When I rang in a panic as to what we had not filled in the said "ohh we want your address" beyond inefficient. We had better get every box returned to us in good order after 3 weeks and 3 days sitting wherever they are. I would not recommend this company to anyone and intend to make an official complaint. Disgusting, the NZ office told me they didn't get an invortory form the goods marked correctly,n sorry dont believe that, Rhonda in Brisbane was very good, the issues are at the NZ end. We had a personal phone call from the MPI inspector to tell us our goods had passed, yet it was 4 days later before we got the email from office informing us of this and then to be told we would be living from our 2 suitcases for over two more weeks before they could deliver, bad form. Not happy at all.
Slow service furniture damaged and missing items
When we received our goods we had many items broken, damaged and missing. No one would answer our calls or help us.
The freight forwarder in the UK John Mason Transport were terrible to deal with - very rude and condescending replies to simple questions, plus misleading information. Due to their incompetence, we also ended up paying £56 in duty and taxes on 40 years old photos and books and memorabilia. At one stage they said I had to pay inheritance tax on my fathers ashes that were also in the box!! We have used Conroy removals on 3 occasions now and the 2 previous occasions (with other UK freight handlers) went without a hitch. I would seriously recommend reviewing your current arrangement with John Mason Transport for UK freight management. If we were to use Conway in the future and the consignment had to go through John Mason Transport, I would go elsewhere. Conway staff have always been courteous and helpful.
6 weeks to get to Darwin, tool it would be delivered on Tues 13th and that you would get local company to confirm. I havent heard anything from local company so l ring you up only to find out it wont be able to be delivered unil 17th. On further questioning of conroy operator he told me you had this inform,ation last Thursday but didnt bother to inform me. Disgraceful! I used Conroy for moving and storage on many occassions - not anymore!
What a bad service! Extremely disappointed in the service that has been provided both in NZ and AUS. Your customer support and communication is well below average and your DOOR TO DOOR service provided is a load of crap.. fine print - your not delivering half of my goods to my front door. Which the conversations I had with your staff on the phone led me to believe you were able to deliver all of my goods. I will not be be using Conroys again or suggesting you as a company to any of my family or friends.
I have used Conroy's for several moves in the past both between New Zealand and Australia and interstate within Australia. I have always had such great experiences with the way things are organised and with the care that has always been taken moving my belongings. This was not the case with this move and I wanted to pass the feedback on. Communication was poor, scheduling times for pick up and drop off both were disorganised and meant that other things that were being done at the houses were compromised, and most of the things that have been wrapped in plastic in past moves were not this time and came back either damanged or dirty. On the plus side this is the only bad experience I have had of many so I will definitely use you again if I need to move but would hope this standard is not the standard of the future.
I am very much disappointed from the service. Things went very well from Sydney team (they been so awesome) but NZ team is so poor in communication and delayed delivery of my shippment. I received email from Susan West on April 02, 2021 which was 17 days ago, saying "received shipping container at Napier Port, we will uplift cargo and trasnport to the warehouse for delivery to Wellington". Since then I am following up but no response from NZ team. Due to this poor service, my family is badly impacted because we already bought 10% of the things that we already shipped and suppose to get in due time frame of 5 weeks. I will be raising my concern to the consumer tribunal in AU/NZ.
