Of clients surveyed said they would recommend Conroy Removals to othersWe found it very challenging to communicate with the sales agent and the Ops team. In our opinion we had a simple query - we wanted to ship our houselhold contents ahead of us flying to New Zealand and allow for any delays due to Covis. After a number of legthy calls with Conroy when both myself and my husband were told that it wasn't possible and we had to be in the country before the goods arrived I ended up contacting NZ customs myselft to confirm it was not a problem at all. We have agreed on a certain sailing date but got booked on a later vessel, which ended up being further delayed by a week. The was no commuication post goods uplift to advise us of any dates or delays. I had to initiate contact to see what was going on. Once NZ team took over we've had regular updates although there was still some confusion around booking delivery and whether of not customs were cleared at that point.
Teams that pick up and deliver furniture are very professional and reliable.
Back office and admin can improve the communication with customers. I would still recommend Conroy because of their network interstate and the ability to move household items smoothly.
Everything leading up to the move was great, the guys on the day were awesome but the container on their truck had no tie points or rails so they had to make them, this obviously took some time and drew out the whole process. That's my only negative feedback. Otherwise brilliant service and staff.
We were very disappointed in the end, initial service very good, but packers didn't arrive with enough boxes, so freight had to be taken away to pack, when we arrived in Brisbane and freight was delivered, there were several items broken, and a few items were not delivered, they had been left in Auckland, very disappointing, it has taken a further month to get bal of my freight, intact, I'm still waiting.
My issue with Conroy was consistency of service. The team that picked my goods up and the team that dropped my goods off were excellent. Professional, fast and friendly. If it was just based on them then yes I would recommend CR whole heartedly. However the customer service side and communication was a mixed bag. Susan West on the NZ side was great but I wasnt that impressed with the communication from the Australian team and I found I was treated like this was an every day occurance and I should know the process.
There were regular text messages updating us that our container had cleared customs, quarantine and was ready for delivery. Unfortunately there was then a long delay before any contact was made to arrange a delivery date and little choice of dates meaning having to rearrange work and childcare at short notice. The delivery was then farmed out to a contractor company who did a great job, friendly, prompt and helpful guys unloading and removing the packing materials. No big issue and I understand it is a busy time, just would have appreciated a call to arrange delivery as soon as the container had cleared so we could plan ahead.
Delay on shiipping side from Singapore removalist and general lack of communication and had to be chased.
Perth operations team had to be chased for updates on delivery after released by customs. Did not return phone messages when called.
service was great from Australia ,but I have not received my shipment in new Zealand yet
Very dissapointed with the delivery team.Whilst the eldest driver was excellent and I do not have any complaint against him whatsoever the other two left a lot to be desired.Clowning around and I expected damage to occur.Two remotes fell on the floor and they were inside drawers.Not the best at all.The 2 workers that did the uplift were excellent in every way.When I first set eyes in these two doing the delivery I could tell they were not the best.When the truck was in the complex one of them was sitting at the back of the truck whilst it was moving.Glad when they had gone.
I did have a lot to with the Australia side of things but the guys that unloaded in New Zealand were very helpful, friendly and efficient. However we are yet to receive our dining table.
