There are reasons for this, and partly it is because I caused confusion with two lots of items to be collected. There were sets of items picked up, as I had additional items after my mother passed away, I requested that my original items were delayed and everything shipped together. This was agreed.
But there were many delays in the pick up of the second set of items. There was an absolute lack of communication and I felt I was constantly chasing for updates. Items were picked up the day before I left the country.
When I did get hold of people, they were very friendly.
I did not realise, and I was not informed, that after all of the hassle the items were not shipped together and I have only recieved half the shipment. The other half has been in Auckland for over two months. No communicaiton.
I have been dealing with someone very nice in Australia to get my order through customs, paying duty etc. Thinking it was the full, combined shipment. I am concerned I will now have to pay duty fees again.
When only half the shipment arrived I rang Conroy NZ and find out that the rest was sitting in Auckland. Hopefully it will arrive this side of Christmas.
I realise that I caused some confusion with the two pickups and detailed list of items, but the lack of communication has been really frustrating.
The packing, pick up, and delivery teams were great, but in future I won't be using Conroy. Hopefully this feedback won't be held against me as I wait for all mum mother's belongings to arrive. :)
Boxes were marked FRAGILE, HEAVY, TOP LOAD ONLY, THIS SIDE UP etc. It appears that there was no adherence to these notices by the various crews that handled the items - some boxes were crushed, other items were broken. It is difficult to determine when the damage occurred - during transfer from the shipping container to customs/quarantine, or during the various transfers by Conroy Removals from quarantine to truck to truck until delivery.
Jaymee in the office was a pleasure! She was actually quite amazing. So friendly, professional and quick to get back to me on any query! She kept me updated and was just simply fantastic even though I contacted her a few times.
however the delivery experience was another story. The crew were not friendly not professional and were intent on intimidation! They expected me to have non of my furniture unwrapped and when I requested only the furniture to be unwrapped and not the boxes he initially refused saying no one unwraps for a storage facility. Then when I said I want the furniture put in first at the back, so I could have easier access in the future to the boxes he said there going in the order as they come of!
I replied I have paid for full service and if was at my house you would not only unwrap everything!! Including boxes but put the furniture in the room and position I request. So you will take the wrapping of the furniture and put it in first.
He was then rough and belligerent and ending up leaving all the boxes out in the hall of the facility.
the manager of national storage came to check on me as she couldn't believe how rude ad uncooperative they were.
they even questioned and nearly argued the position of parking for the truck with her.
Keep informed until last 2 weeks and I had to keep contacting people in nz to get information on my car.
Unfortunately the packing service was very poor with furniture items stacked on top of boxes which were crushed. A few furniture items scratched and broken. Better care should have been taken with the packing process
Very disappointed with the way our shipment arrived. Many of the boxes were crushed, broken or damaged in some way, which resulted in some of the contents being broken or smashed. Conroys failed to send our bikes with our shipment and they arrived approx 2 1/2 months later, again in VERY damaged boxes.
The fellows that delivered our furniture were wonderful. Nothing was an issue. Well done boys.

The team that did my pick up in Perth were wonderful. They were lovely men who helped me pack last bits that I had run out of time to do and were calm when I had a meltdown and cried when they arrived much earlier than expected. They packed all of my gear extremely well.
I did not receive a call the day before letting me know when the packers were to arrive. This caused me great stress.
The team that unpacked my container at the other end in Brisbane were the opposite. The team leader was rude, dismissive and made disparaging remarks about my goods and the way they were packed. Several boxes were dropped, ones clearly marked fragile. Luckily nothing broke. They were rough with my goods and made me tick off the boxes, standing outside with the truck, so I couldn't advice them where to put each item within the house, just which room. This lead me to having to move many of the items around myself within the house. His two assistants were fine. They just did as they were told. I nearly rang to complain, but he knew where I lived and I feared possible repercussions. A thoroughly unpleasant experience.
I had treasured oarnaments broken, and legs broken off my dressing table.Your people in Australia were rough with their unpacking, Holly reported they just tipped boxex up and let the contents fall out. No woonder things were broken. The workers appeaared to be in a rush both in my case and in Holly's unpack. Very disappointing.
Your staff were very friendly and helpful to deal with . At the beginning there was confusion about completeing the correct paperwork as they did not understand is was a bequest from a deceased estate. This created delay as everything had to be redone
Then once they left NZ there was poor communication about how the goods were tracking . I had to follow up twice to establish where the good were.
