They were easily accessible and Janelle went over and above in helping to make the move easier. The team of movers arrived when they said they would and were very efficient. I was concerned when one of the speakers was dropped in front of us. From the looks of things our belonging suffered more than just being dropped. Despite the boxes being marked fragile and being in boxes designed for moving records, over half the boxes were battered and damaged on the outside. Luckily the records themselves seem to have survived.
On arrival in Wellington, our experience went downhill. I have already spoken to the manager of the depot about my concerns around communication and managing expectations. I understand they are doing their best in a trying time but it was frustrating to not have clear delivery times and to be left in the dark about what was happening. Finally when our goods were delivered, the bed head and a box of books were missing. After a day and a half the bed head was found and delivered in the evening. The poor guy had was left to lug the bed head upstairs while his partner waited in the truck. I ended up helping to take it upstairs. We are still waiting to find out where our box of books are.
So after a great start, we ended up being disappointed in the service and would not use Conroys to move our personal belongings in the future.
Team who unpacked us seemed to be in a rush and couldn't wait to leave, even though we had paid for a full unpack. They did have another delivery after ours which may have been why (maybe it was a busy time??). I ended up saying I would be happy to unpack all the kitchen boxes so long as they came back to collect later (16 boxes in total). The two young guys were fantastic.
My boxes arrived at their destination torn and squashed, including those visibly labled as Fragile. One fragile item was broken but I have not claimed as it is less than the insurance excess. I was very unhappy with the state of my boxes and concerned my goods were damaged through the unpacking process.
The delivery turned up at my house without any notice or communication. The last update I had from Conroy was my goods had arrived and were going through quarantine. It was pure luck that my partner was home when the arrival happend. I had no opportunity to inspect my goods at the time of delivery and could only do this when I came home that evening.
I already let Sharon know of my issues with the packing of our possessions. She's the only reason I gave 3 stars. She's the best.
Our shipping took ages and was only updated on the progress when I sent follow up emails.

previously the standard and delivery was very good when we first move to NZ in April 2017. However this time there were a lot of broken items from the move. I'm not sure if this was how things were packed or if they just were not looked after through the journey. Particularly disappointing was the corners of the TV cabinet being chipped.
service from all involved was good and we were kept well informed.
I had spefically had a box with all the bed hardwear (bolts etc...) in a clearly marked box, this was impossible to find when shipment arrived as it had been reboxed without a thought to remark the Conway rebox. This led to no beds being assembled as we only found the box after the great delivery folks had arrived.
Also working with two seperate subcontractors, one in CA other here in VA was not the best , specifcally finding out I had an additional $750 to pay for delivery, even though I had seen short based trucks arriving all the time in our subdivision with 20ft containers on board. So very frustrated at having to pay only because they didnt have the right delivery truck. Poor customer service, even though 750 was reduced to 500 for inconvenience, sorry but that 500 should be reimbursed to me by Conway.
Dear Conroy, your own company provides an excellent service from the quote right through to the packing. Everyone was a pleasure to deal with within your company. Unfortunately, the company you use in the UK, you just need to look at their Google reviews to see the kind of appalling feedback they receive consistently. They have screwed up the delivery my goods over the last couple of goods and every time there is something they need to correct they charge me. The last straw was when their truck drivers received 240 pounds (pounds!) of parking tickets for parking with their wheels on the kerb (a traffic infringement), and also outside the arranged time for them to park with the local council, and they tried to make me pay the fines! Every time they have to correct a delivery (things that were not supposed to end up in storage did end up there) they charge an extra 70 pounds. I would use Conroy again if I thought they were not working with the UK Company, but it doesn't matter how good your company is, if I end up with the UK Company at the other end then I would not use Conroy. You really need to find another partner because working with these people, no matter what they quote you, is going to damage the reputation of your company. Read the online reviews for the UK Company - not just one or two but dozens of 1 star reviews and 2.2 rating overall.
Ladder missing, I know ive lost that forever..... but everything else was there.
Was told from the Brisbane end what to expect regarding the unloading of container in Auckland and re packing after customs inspection. Was told contents would be repacked and wrapped in removal blankets for the journey to my address. This did NOT happen. Three items of funiture were damaged and I was horrified as the container was being unpacked to see my lounge suite on its end sitting on the bare dusty dirty container floor covered in dirt dust and wood chips UNPROTECTED.
This was disgusting. Allthough not damaged it took a long time to individually pull all the hardwood chips from the container floor out of the armrests of two fabric lounge suites. This is NOT how you move customers belongings....
I do not know whether the driver and his offsider had actually packed the container in Auckland or not, but were happy with the way they unloaded and their professionalism.
Everything arrived in perfect condition and was packed very well, I was however very let down by the service. On the receiving end in NZ I was not contacted and wasn't informed about when my shipment would be delivered, on my way out the door to work a truck arrived unannounced and staff delivering items were very rude and stated "someone should have called you, it's not our problem we just deliver the goods". I was pretty surprised and obviously not prepared for the delivery. The price was fair, however I know of a few others who shipped over far more items than me (whole house worth) and were charged much less or the same by Conroy. I also had less items shipped than intended and was told this would be refunded to me, however weeks later I had to chase this up myself due to communication between myself and them. Overall everything arrived in one piece and was packed up very well. The boys who packed up my place in Melbourne did an amazing job, the biggest let down however was on the NZ end and the lack of communication.
