"Unfortunately your service was majorly let down"
Unfortunately your service was majorly let down by your agent( AngloPacific) in their handling.Their communication or should I say lack of it was very poor ,they were basically obnoctious and unhelpfull when I did contact them. On previous moves with your company you used ReloUK who were fantastic and could not be more helpfull, but sorry to say that if there was a chance that you would be using Anglo Pacific as your agents then I am sorry but I would go with another removalist. Michelle and the rest of the Melbourne crew were great even though it did take 5 months for our goods to arrive.

"Overall, the service was satisfactory"
Overall, the service was satisfactory.
The pros of the company were: The staff were prompt and polite in their communications via email and on the phone. At first glance, our belongings appear to have arrived in reasonable condition and we were kept up to date with how the shipment was progressing. We were happy that the shipment cleared customs and quaratine without any problems. All the boxes arrived promptly at the time agreed, once the delivery time was scheduled.
The downsides we experienced were: The estimated arrival time was changed backwards and forwards a number of times, which was not very helpful, but possibly out of the company's control. We also had to wait almost a week for a delivery slot once the goods had arrived in Sydney. We paid extra to have the company pack our belongings and we felt they had rushed this job and not done it as well as we were expecting - items were not grouped in a methodical order and my laptop was damaged as they had packed the plug next to the computer, which had caused a dent. This could easily have been avoided.

"what happened to your usual excellent service"
Have used your services on numerous occassions and always been very happy untill this time.
Our LG micriwave/grill/convection oven was taken away to be wrapped for shipping. It has arrived covered in dust, poorly wrapped and quite dented. what happened to your usual excellent service?
"Overall I found your service good"
Overall I found your service good; scheduling was an issue for me but managed. Also was great to see the transparency on the delivery report to say their was condensation inside the shipping container as it made it easy to explain the damp Oder from my sofa
"methods need improvement"
The first issue I had was that they sent only one person to do the preparation. I would expect a minimum of two, preferably three or more people. The end result was that it took him almost two days to pack everything and he was struggling with the heavy objects. I rang them about this and they were unwilling to commit more resources. This delayed packing unnecessarily.
Secondly, some items were damaged in transit. It's all minor stuff but it's never happened to me in previous moves.
Thirdly, some items went missing. One item turned up almost two weeks after delivery while another was never documented and disappeared entirely. To their credit they agreed to compensate me but I'm still well out of pocket.
Their staff are pleasant and work hard but I think their approach and methods need improvement.
"I was happy with the service"
I was happy with the service. My only complaint is that quite a few of my furniture pieces were damaged in the move. Mind you, they were antique and maybe prone to be damaged easily. Mainly scratches (trough layers of plastic foill) and a half broken off chest of drawer leg. My instructions to transport one particular piece only horizontally was not followed even though it was written on it very visibly.

"generally very happy"
Was generally very happy with move. However did notice, after movers had gone and had time to check things properly, that there were a few items of furniture that had been dented and scuffed despite being wrapped up by remvalists.
"I have mixed feelings"
I have mixed feelings about Conroys. All of the staff we encountered were friendly, respectful and diligent. There was good communication about the timing of pickup and deliveries and the pick up of packing material.
However, our double width cutlery drawer was missed in the packing. As a result, our baggage on our flight to New Zealand was weighed down with a whole lot of cutlery, knives and other heavy utensils. This was the baggage that had to sustain us until our freight arrived some weeks later. We had the stress of trying to throw out less valuable baggage at the airport and still paid more than $200 in excess baggage. We arrived in NZ with enough cutlery to host several large dinner parties concurrently but without pyjamas. I reported this problem to Conroys and got a nice reply that we would be compensated. I later enquired again about compensation, when Conroys were following up for an additional payment for increased volume. I thought that would be an ideal time to discount the additional payment. To date, no one has contacted me about this. It feels as if Conroys was very efficient about getting its invoices paid but no one cared about addressing our loss. In hindsight, I should have withheld payment of the additional amount until the compensation issue was sorted out.
When the delivery was made, I was asked to sign a form saying that everything had been delivered satisfactorily. At that point, the only box I had had time to open had, at the very top of the box, a wine glass with a broken stem, which cut my finger and caused significant bleeding. The wine glass had been simply wrapped in a bit of paper and the box had been squashed in one corner. I think you need to pack wine glasses more carefully.
I did not have a list of the boxes that were packed and so did not check off the boxes as they were delivered. So, I had no idea if everything had in fact been delivered and had arrived in a good condition. I felt I had to sign anyway, and did. In hindsight, I should not have. I don't think you should ask customers to sign that form until they have had a reasonable chance to check the goods.
As our house is being renovated, many things are still unpacked. However, I have found that our wooden day bed has a big new scratch along the back. Some large plastic tubs full of clothes were only wrapped in one layer of bubble wrap. The lids could not sustain the weight of many boxes stacked on top of them and shattered. At least 4 tubs were shattered like that. Quite a lot of cardboard boxes had crushed corners. My feeling, from observing the state of the delivered boxes and the unpacking, is that boxes are treated quite roughly. If that is to continue, then the packing of goods has to be more protective.
So, as I said, Conroys is doing a lot right and we liked all of the staff we had contact with. But, I'm not confident that goods are transported safely and the service ended up being quite expensive, especially the insurance. I think I will probably try another moving company for the next move.
Minor damage was done to some of our furniture. Eg. Scratches and dents. A wall was damaged carrying the bed up the stairs and I was told that someone will contact us to fix it, but I'm still waiting for that contact nearly a week later.
