"Missing carton'
Missing carton which has not been resolved between removalist in singapore and Conroy. Both parties are claiming no wrongdoing which makes it very distressing, given that carton had family portraits etc.
"broke a number of items"
Conroy were communicative about expected delivery date and time, and were only a few hours later than they said, and provided an explanation for the delay. However, Conroy broke a number of items in the moving from Victoria to Queensland. A couple I can put down to just being unfortunate, crushed inside their boxes. However, the damaging of a leather dining chair was entirely a result of negligence on Conroy's part. When initially wrapping for storage, they ran a strip of packing tape across the leather itself, instead of enfolding the chair within the wrapping, and taping only the wrapping. Then, when unpacking it, the removalist tore it off in front of us, taking large, unsightly chunks of the leather veneer with it. The chair is one of a set of eight dining chairs. So it is not even just a matter of replacing one chair. It must be repaired or the whole set replaced. The removalists assured us that Conroy would fix the situation and repair the chair and the other damaged items. The day after delivery, I range Conroy to have this followed up. They promised to email a claim form. However, to date, they have ignored my call and provided no follow-up.
"I am not sure if I would use you again or recommend you"
I am not sure if I would use you again or recommend you - including delays and unanswered emails to my questions as well as a missed delivery day, my new water-proof containers all had damaged handles and one lid was broke. These were all highly-durable containers and only your company would have split the pallet and handled these boxes. I have no idea where in the shipping process this happened, but I had no chance to inspect the contents of my boxes before the deliverymen asked me to sign the form and left. I appreciate the delivery, but am skeptical if this is the best service to use.
"delays were caused by Conroy"
Conroy removals was a fine contact for the Sydney portion of our move. However when the quarantine inspection was schedule it had to be rescheduled 2 days later than planned since Conroy "could not find 3 boxes" that were to be inspected. Those delays were caused by Conroy so it was really dissappointing to be further pushed back on delivery due to that.
"lack or beakdown in communication"
It would appear that a lack or beakdown in communication took place, a shame really because the packing in NZ was superb
"Cartons were incorrectly labelled"
Cartons were incorrectly labelled at origin and caused significant confusion at the point of destination. We paid extra for the packing servcie to be completed to a professsional standard & this was not completed. Very disappointed
"not consistent with the timeline"
I was disappointed that the move was not consistent with the timeline given to us. Our furniture remained in Melbourne for almost two months before eventually being despatched to NZ. It also did not go to Wellington, but to Auckland and then was transported by land to Wellington - which meant that delicate items such as our fridge had to deal with the vibration associated with land transport. That said, Conroys eventually got the furniture to us on a Friday (but only after a few phone calls indicating our dissatisfaction with the time it had taken). The administration staff passed us around to others a bit but I found the field staff (furniture removal guys) to be friendly and efficient. Decent blokes who went out of their way for us. Because of that I will be recommending Conroy's services to others.
"some pieces broke"
Hi Conroy Removals,
The packing in NZ was done expertly except for the lady who packed the fine porcellain, with the result that some pieces broke.
The standard documentation sent to us in Australia was at variance with the contract we concluded with Conroys in NZ but on enquiry the NZ agreement was applied.
The contract provided for packing where the items were in our NZ home to unpacking where they were going in our Australian home. However, when the containers arrived, there was no sign of unpackers and the movers had to arrange for them to come out to our new home, where they arrived in the afternoon and clearly were not geared to return the next day. So most of the unpacking had to be done by us, which has so far taken several days. The packers were not 'allowed' to unpack onto the floor but the sideboard, etc into which the items had to be unpacked had not been unwrapped by the time the team left.
The insurance policy requires that we inform the insurers of claims within 7 days of delivery at our nw home. This is the 7th day and we have still not managed to unpack and check everything. So the lack of proper unpacking may cost us in undiscovered losses or damage.
The unpacking should have been organised properly and the team should have returned to finish the job the next day. The policy should allow a longer time to report losses and damage.
The teams in NZ and Australia were very friendly, which we appreciated.

"High minimum charge for inspection fees"
High minimum charge for inspection fees, especially when the consignment is small part of a shared container.

Have not recieved my shipment yet, but its close on a truck at the South Africa / Zimbabwe border.
Cant send without clicking the above, overall service in my previous expierience has been great and can only answer when I recieve my goods. Cheers From Lusaka Velten
"We have multiple items broken"
We have multiple items broken which some are near unusuable state and are not replace-able.
Time it took to arrive was far longer than other competitors.
What more makes me feel very angry is that although I have paid extra charges for difficult move cost, all it was done was deliverying boxes inside our house and leaving us to unpack most of stuff.
I am very disappointed of delivery result as I did enjoy NZ service but AUS branch service clearly lacks professsionalism which I'll make sure to let other people know as well to avoid such cases like me.
Whilst we had some initial concerns regarding fact that not all boxes were unpacked (due to wet weather and running late for next job), Michael from Operations ensured that the boxes were collected on the day I called to advise that they had been there a week ready for collection.
