His behaviour was not appropriate and was defnitely not a credit to company. He expected his lunch to be heated for him which would have been ok except he followed me into my house and had a good look around while waiting for the microwave to finish, I then said goodbye but no, he says, I'm going to eat it here in your yard at your table. It was very strange and very uncomfortable, and his language left a lot to be desired particularly as I had my mother and young children around. He definitely soured the whole experience and does not encourage me to recommend you to anyone else.
Mixed experience: It took twice as long as I was told probably because only one person did 85% of the work. He did work very hard and I felt badly he didn't have more help unpacking the furniture especially.Two items (Hutch and dining room chair) were damaged. How do I report it?
The gentleman who came was very hardworking and fast, but it still was too much work for one.
There was a 45-minute start delay due to an accident but that happens. The office staff were always friendly and the email updates were great.
Packers arrived 3 days early and we were unprepared for house to be packed. Then suggested completing the loading late for their convenience (after the date we were due to leave the country) which we declined and insisted it must be done on the agreed date.
When goods arrived the TV was not appropriately packaged and had been smashed. 3x irreplaceable collectors items also broken due to poor handling and insufficient packaging. A few other replaceable household items were damaged.
Destination team unloaded quickly and efficiently. Unwrapped bubble wrapped furniture but did not unpack anything else. Advised us as they left to call when we finished unpacking and they would return to remove packing materials. Some disassembled furniture was reassembled by unloading team. Concerns have been handled appropriately. Contact from insurance team was rapid. Awaiting finalisation of insurance claim.
Charmaine was great when dealing with her, however my move co-ordinator never got back to me about delivery details I had to follow up with her. Received my boxes 3 months after I dropped off and wasn't told ETA until I had to ask. They just said it will come after I arrive in the country.
Missing Boxes
The communication on shipment status was excellent. We felt being well informed on progress. However, when on the shipment date, it was found 6 boxes missed. The truck supervisor called back Conroy Office to check and found the missed 6 boxes in another truck for other's delivery. Finally, that truck delivered back my 6 missed boxes. That incident caused us over additional ~45 mins to complete the delivery task.
My consignment was delivered promptly and in complete condition. Service updates after arrival at port were also regular and timely. However, I was unhappy that I had to change my delivery address from Koroit to Melbourne, midshipment, after being asked by Conroy for a transportation surcharge of $1700. This would have almost doubled the cost of delivery. I was told this was because the address is in rural Victoria and not covered. But no objection was raised when I received my initial quotation or when I signed the contract. As a result I was placed in a difficult situation through no fault of my own, and will have to arrange my own transportation from Melbourne to Koroit.
One smaller issue is that the packaging of my cabinet was left ripped open after quarantine inspection, when it could have at least taped more securely.
Were 15minutes late, took personal calls while supposed to be working, took 15 minute break at 9am, they could have worked through till 10am & be finished instead of dragging it out. They broke the tv stand now it has a problem standing up.
Very Helpful
During a very stressful time, Conroys were very helpful with the moving. Even though not all items were delivered, the matter was solved very quickly.
Process started well. Seemed straightforward but by the time car got to NZ all sorts of delays. Over 2 months without my car, quite a lot of info could have been passed onto me and saved me a significant amount of money. Overall ok, . Sending endless emails is Not the most effective way of communicating
