Understood My Needs
Broken Items
Our dinnng room table was broken, as were a coffee table and dresser. Two chairs had indents in the arms from something heavy being laid on them.

Delivery Issues
One of our containers was sent by ship to Thursday Island and we have to wait for the return of the ship to get our goods. The priority box was in this container. We have been left with no cords for the TV, sterio, keys for my Horn sewing cabinet, bed legs, antique mantle clocks etc. Have not found any cutlery or crockery yet, have borrowed some from daughter to last us until the shipping container turns up. The ramp from the truck to the house also damaged one of the decorative knobs on front verandah which had to be repaired before the final inspection of the house for the sale to go through.

Lack of Communication
Our experience, correspondence and packing in Australia was fine. However, the lack of communication, undue stress, delay and unprofessionalism once our container reached Ireland was appalling.

I have ticked communication as an area for improvement but this was only minor (just wanted an update on what was happening a bit more ie progress of my goods through the docks, customs and eta Townsville
Impressed
whilst i have not yet unpacked i was impressed with the actual delivery service. there was a significant delay in getting the shipping cleared through customs and quarantine, and then a further delay appratenyl due to rial pressures, so its hard to be able to apportion responsibility, however the delivery men couldn't have been better. arrived promptly, very poict and courteous, followed instructions, offered advice, didn't stop from the minute they arrived. a really good pair of blokes.

Brilliant Pick Up and Delivery
I found the pickup and delivery guys absolutely brilliant - friendly, professional and great customer service. However there were a few communication issues, e.g at the beginning of the process there was a misunderstanding over my goals, though I felt I'd been very clear in what I required. This was ultimately sorted out but it was extra stress when I really didn't need it. Also, for both deliveries, it was difficult getting answers as to when my gear would be delivered. It took a while to get everything to Hastings from Auckland and for the first delivery I had to call the office in Sydney in the end to ask them to contact the Auckland office to find out what was happening! Both deliveries had to be chased constantly - so communication overall was a bit poor. There were regular emails regarding shipping and customs clearance, but once the goods were in NZ I found it difficult to find out what was going on.
Another issue was the packaging - my mattress was wrapped in plastic by the pickup guys but when it arrived there were lots of tears in the packaging, right through to the mattress! Luckily it doesn't appear to have been damaged, but I found that a bit concerning. I expected some wear and tear, but I thought the mattress could have been handled more carefully.
I have recommended your services to friends, mainly based on the pickup/delivery and most of my gear generally arriving in good condition. I would also use your services again, but try to make sure I have a dedicated contact person for delivery.
In Nov. 2017, i had to return to USA after fiften years on Oz, owning a business, two houses and a 37 acre property. I needed my own container on my property to sort everything out, decide what was going and not. Conroy, out of the five international movers, were the only company that understood i did not want a truck to arrive for professional packing and worked with me and my container salespeople to get my purchased container delivered to my rainforest property. The other companies spun horror stories of atempting to self-pack a container going o the the USA and unequivically stated' your container WILL we X-Rayed-searched- and very carefully gone through at great expense to you"... Conroy made the necessary multi-form documentation procedure as easy as possible to itemise and self pack all my posessions. Everything was smooth, all calls answered and replied to rapidly. They quoted an arrival date for my container to arive in East Coast USA and they were very close. only this unexpected sub-zero Winter weather there actually froze the Port of Norfolk Va and caused a few days delaty until the ice melted. COnroy's coesponding agent in US East Coast was great. he helped track the cargo vessel every step of the way and they did a super job of scheduling and delivering to my farm in North Carolina. Not the cheapest...but you get what you pay for. Thank you COnroy & Staff for a job well done while i was under a lot of stress-mog.
