Overall service was great. Communications were excellent but only two comments worth noting-
The mirror on my queen duchess was chipped and slightly damaged but that could be due to movement in the ship? Excess would outweigh cost of repair for that.
On arrival to my address in NZ, was only the driver so lucky my husband was home as my 84 year old mum would not been able to assist.
The contacts we dealt with in Australia were lovely but the move itself has been a bit of a nightmare. We moved from country Victoria to the city of Victoria in Canada, on Vancouver Island.
As I type this review we have still not received our shipment and this is due to a number of delays that we were not informed of prior to leaving Australia.
1) we were not aware that our goods would be handled by a third party once in canada
2) we requested storage once in Canada and were never told that storage would be on the mainland and not in the island which is our destination
3) we were not told that the third party that would be handling our goods had a 1-3 week wait period once our goods cleared customs before they would ship to the island
As a result, we have had to organise a storage container on the Island in order to provide a shipping address and have been paying for it for over a month now. We were told to expect delivery once the goods cleared customs, 7-10 days post arrival (container arrives August 21). It is now September 21 and we have been sent this request for feedback and our goods are not due to arrive for another 2 days.
We are a family of 5, travelling with 3 young children, aged 1,2 and 5. We have been living out of suitcases waiting for our personal items for 3 weeks longer than anticipated and it has been frustrating to say the least.
The contacts that we dealt with in Australia were always friendly but I don’t think that they had a clear idea what delivery would look like on this end. Had they been clearer about the wait times we would have planned accordingly and much of the frustration would have been avoided. We understand that overseas moves are big, troublesome events even when most things go right. We feel that the whole story was not properly communicated to us and that perhaps the staff in Australia were not aware of the finer details of their agreement with the third party which led to our issues.
Absolutely blown away by the service we have recieved from Conroys, from start to finish the communication was always there to let us know what was going on.
Highly recommended company and will definitely go through you again if ever needed in the future.
