Very happy with the performance of mark and Tom and would like them to be involved in our next move once our house is built. Good humored and hard working. Nothing was too much trouble. Over the last 20 years I hae had 6 interstate moves and 3 within Qld for work transfers, your team have been the standouts. Sam and I greatly appreciate the service provided and thanks to john for his assistance and adise in the pre move visit.

"not so positive experience"
We had a not so positive experience with Conroy's previously when moving interstate. The only reason I've used Conroys again was to get our items out of your storage. I find Conroy's to be a very mixed experience, one one hand some staff are very friendly and efficient, on the other hand, there is always something that doesn't work. Just one example, This time, shelving units were dismantled in order to move them, but only half were reassembled. These mixed experiences are the reason I didn't used Conroys for my moved again and won't use you when we return, interstate. I'm left with a disappointed feeling as you were highly recommended by a relative who works in the relocation business.

I have moved MANY times within Townsville and interstate in my time. This moving experience was made very STRESSLESS due to the 3 men that did my move. Not only were they friendly, however they were very respectful and efficient. I had my 77 yr old Mother stay at my old unit while I started preparing things at the new place. They ensured they left my lounge until last so she had somewhere to sit until the end. I have never had such a pleasant moving experience. I work for a very large organisation and have already told many people about my good experience. Keep up the great work and thank you for making what can be a very stressful experience, a very comfortable one. 10/10
"Regrettably, we feel let down by your service"
Regrettably, we feel let down by your service. The moving contract specifically stated "Verification of packing inventory and unwrapping" and "removal of used packing material on the day of the delivery". It was with disappointment that on the day, we were left with over 60 boxes to unpack because the crew said they could not place any items on bookcases, cabinets, couch, floor, etc. If this is part of OHS law in Australia, please make sure that this is well defined in the moving contract. Interestingly, your crew assembled three tables but none was used to place items. In fact, the crew made limited attempt to use the available surfaces (kitchen counter, cabinets, etc.) to initially unpack the boxes. And at no point did they offer to use the available surfaces, nor did they say this was an option. We were unnecessarily left with boxes to unpack, which resulted in major inconvenience, nuisance, and in us missing an additional day of work. Finally, not only were we left with boxes to unpack (service fully paid for!) as we were told we had to prepare them for pick-up on a different date!
We were expecting the same level of service and professionalism provided in North America and in Europe (and by excellent Orbit). We have been moving internationally every two years for the last 10 years, and this is the first time we felt deceived by a moving company. If it was made more clear in the contract that you were not providing full unwrapping service, we would have happily pre-arranged unpacking, even in collaboration with another company, since my employer was paying for the move. We should also emphasize that we were actively helping the crew throughout the moving day to the best of our ability: my husband is disabled due to a recent injury and was unable to lift items over 5kg.
We do appreciate that when I called to enquire about what happened, Conroy's administration did provide us with some help the next day – hence, we are giving 2 stars instead of 1. On a different note, the admin./supporting service was stellar throughout the process. It was just too bad that the delivery services were so unsatisfactory.

Whilst we had some initial concerns regarding fact that not all boxes were unpacked (due to wet weather and running late for next job), Michael from Operations ensured that the boxes were collected on the day I called to advise that they had been there a week ready for collection.
"impressed by the cleanup"
Everything good. We were especially impressed by the cleanup (rubbish removal) side of the operation, which was quick and effective. Many thanks.

We have used Conroys previously with no problems whatsoever however this time I would have to say the service was poor. On the removal day I was given a time of between 12 and 1.30pm. At approx 1.45pm I had to make a call to see where the men were. I was told that they were running late and should be there by 3pm. No prior contact had been made to apologise for them being late. I then had to call again at approx. 3:15pm as they still had not arrived and again no contact had been made with me to apologise or let me know where they were. I was told this time (after making a very sarcastic remark with regards to how long a job should take) that they were in Caboolture and wouldn't be too far away. At approx 3:50pm I once again had to phone and this time I requested to speak with the owner or the manager. I spoke with the Manager and voiced my disappointment. The men turned up at 4pm. I do not blame the removal men as they had a big job prior to ours and should not have been given our job as well. They worked very hard while they were here even though they were exhausted. I blame the company for overloading their workers. The whole experience this time was not enjoyable but stressful to say the least.
"I could not fault the service"
I could not fault the service provided by Conroy removals. The office staff were helpful and efficient and responses to emails were very prompt. My goods were delivered by two friendly and competent workers. Overall an excellent experience.
