"communication was slack"
The packing up from Perth was fine. We helped, which I didn't have an issue with. But from then on communication was slack. There was an issue with the computer system so after a month I emailed to ask how the move was going. I had an update to say when the container should arrive in nz. But never received an email to confirm that it did arrive in nz, I had to send an email and ask. Sent another 2 emails hoping to get a date to when my gear was going to turn up. Finally got a response. 2 days before it was due to arrive I was told that they had the wrong location down on their paper work and it was going to be another week. Even though a week before I had sent my delivery instructions which clearly stated my address and location. So proof that they didn't double check and confirm address. my gear is suppose to arrive today, but it is already 10am and I haven't heard from anyone. So I don't even know if it is going to turn up. It has been 10 weeks since Our stuff left our house in Perth. I was told it would take 6-8 weeks. The only reason we choose this removal company was because they came to our house to do the quote. I wouldn't recommend this company.

There was a table badly damaged which we thought really should not have happened if the table was packed more carefully - the same is the case for a few pieces of china and glass ware - otherwise the whole experiencec was very good - thankyou.

"pleasure to deal with"
From Sydney to Dunedin I felt very comfortable that my car and goods were in the best of hands. Everyone I dealt with from sales, the office, removalists in both Sydney and Dunedin were a pleasure to deal with. I would recommend Conroys to anyone thank you

"16 weeks to arrive"
16 weeks to arrive. Hard to get updates n reasons why. Two items damaged.

"broke a number of items"
Conroy were communicative about expected delivery date and time, and were only a few hours later than they said, and provided an explanation for the delay. However, Conroy broke a number of items in the moving from Victoria to Queensland. A couple I can put down to just being unfortunate, crushed inside their boxes. However, the damaging of a leather dining chair was entirely a result of negligence on Conroy's part. When initially wrapping for storage, they ran a strip of packing tape across the leather itself, instead of enfolding the chair within the wrapping, and taping only the wrapping. Then, when unpacking it, the removalist tore it off in front of us, taking large, unsightly chunks of the leather veneer with it. The chair is one of a set of eight dining chairs. So it is not even just a matter of replacing one chair. It must be repaired or the whole set replaced. The removalists assured us that Conroy would fix the situation and repair the chair and the other damaged items. The day after delivery, I range Conroy to have this followed up. They promised to email a claim form. However, to date, they have ignored my call and provided no follow-up.

- Staff refused to unpack my goods and several items were damaged and broken
- There were delays to our shipment and no one contacted me- I had to chase them up
- I was unimpressed that we were charged a very high minimum rate relative to the size of our shipment

The only issue was that the uplift from Sydney the drivers were 45 mins later from the window they gave me which meant I was unable to return to work that day. Not a biggy, but a better indication of uplift time would be good.

I am not sure if I would use you again or recommend you - including delays and unanswered emails to my questions as well as a missed delivery day, my new water-proof containers all had damaged handles and one lid was broke. These were all highly-durable containers and only your company would have split the pallet and handled these boxes. I have no idea where in the shipping process this happened, but I had no chance to inspect the contents of my boxes before the deliverymen asked me to sign the form and left. I appreciate the delivery, but am skeptical if this is the best service to use.
Communication through customs great, delayed response with delivery time, but in the end a quick delivery time. On the spot removal men wonderful - pleasant, polite and very careful.
