I used Conroys to move from Brisbane to Napier. From start to finish there were no problems. I did email to keep track of things and ask questions and they were quick to reply. I paid for the insurance and all my gear arrived safely. The people were friendly and easy to deal with on both sides. Thanks Conroys..
"very disappointed"
very disappointed, several items of furniture, (bookcase, DVD rack, bunk beds etc) have all sustained damage due to your packers sticking tape directly onto our furniture instead of wrapping it all correctly. Also instead of wrapping plastic tubs individually they have been wrapped together causing the lids and the tubs themselves to break. Everything we packed ourselves got here in one piece though!
The uplift from Brisbane was managed very well. The removalists and packers were helpful, courteous and very efficient. The initial appointment and the service provided by Natalie from head office was positive. I was very happy with the service we received.
The delivery in Sydney was a very poor experience. We did not have information on the access to the property so were asked to arrive early the morning of the delivery so we could confirm this for you. The agreed time to do so was 7am. Sylvan called us just after 6am to enquire about the access which was very inconvenient, especially given it was not what was agreed.
When we went to the property at 7am and contacted Sylvan he said that the truck had already been dispatched. We found it difficult to understand why we had been asked to attend at the property early (at our inconvenience) if the truck had to be dispatched prior to the agreed time.
The truck arrived later than agreed due to traffic issues. The team leader did call us to let us know this so this was not a big issue.
The delivery access was more difficult than anticipated. We found these issues were managed poorly. We had no qualms about paying an additional fee for the difficult access, if it had simply been requested (which it eventually was). This was not managed efficiently, as we felt it should have been.
Our agreement was that the boxes were to be unpacked to benchtops. My husband needed to leave before the delivery was complete and signed the delivery forms in the good faith that this would be done. On arriving home that night, none of the boxes had been unpacked. When providing this feedback to Conroys, we were told that the team had been instructed not to unpack the boxes (we are not sure who by - it wasn't us) and because we had signed the delivery form that the boxes were "unpacked to our satisfaction", we had no recourse. I am awaiting a response to my reply email detailing the circumstances above.
Based on the delivery experience, I would not be recommending that my company nor any personal contacts engage Conroys.
