"took longer than expected"
It all went quite well, it just took longer than expected.

The Australian segment of the move went very well. Staff were very good at keeping me informed about progress, dealing with Customs etc., and what I had to do. The delivery ws arranged smoothly and efficiently.
It is a pity that the overall experience had already been marrred by a couple of aspects of the Auckland operation, which consequently have impacted this review and which have been commented on in a seperate review.

Generally the customer service and contact was positive, by email, phone and in person with the removalists. However, while the price was good there were negatives as follows:
- There was fairly extensive damage to our boxes, especially those marked very clearly as fragile. I'm not sure when Conroy took over from Windmill in the logistic chain, so it may have been that the damage was done earlier. What I do know is what I saw in the container that was delivered. There was minimal segregation between each clients' goods, and once the 1st clients good had been removed, there was little to restrain the remainder of the goods from flying around in the back.
- As I've worked as a removalist and have experience with these things, I was able to limit the damage to our fragile goods through careful padding and packing. However, I would imagine that, considering the extensive damage to the boxes, other may not be so lucky.
- The time taken from receipt in Sydney to delivery was quite long, but also not helped by the need to clean the ike we had transported.

I was kept advised regularly of how things were progressing with/status of my goods. And I received excellent assistance in relation to my items with Quarantine issues.
"Hardest workers I have seen"
Nothing but the highest praise for both Ben and Isaac they are a credit to your company. Hardest workers I have seen in a very long time, polite and well spoken. I also really appreciated the call the boys made to let us know that they were going to be delayed. Overall very well done. and we will definately recommend and use your services again.

Everything was done well, Communication was excellent, and packaging from original destination to quality of delivery exceeded my expectations.

I had, what seemed to me, a difficult time deciding what to take and while I annoyed the guys with requests for different quotes, the team was always so lovely and very helpful. This made the whole process much easier. The guys who came to pick everything up on the day were also superb, very fast and efficient. Thank you all!

The guys doing the actual delivery did a great job and we can't thank them enough. My downgrade on the response was due to confusion, delay and misunderstandings in the email communications regarding the customs forms and matters with the airfreight. I need to acknowledge that we were probably partially to blame for some of it but the wording (lack of clarity in most cases) was the main problem.

We did not receive no follow up on the status of our boxes we left with your team in Brisbane
I dont think I was told the truth about the tax I paid on my home-built aircraft parts. I was assured by the secretary that it would be brought in as "Private" and not "Commercial". I found out that I did actually pay commercial rates.
I also tried to emphasise that my wife is undergoing treatment for cancer and needs rest at home. Inside the container was her bed and some personal effects which she needed. She was having to sleep on a fold-out couch so I asked if things could be expidited. I certainly didnt get any indication from your company that this was heard or honoured.
Towards the end of the waiting period, my wife called the secretary to find out how long it would take, and that I had paid the tax the previous week. She was told it could take another month! I found out this side in Doha, that the freight had already been released by customs, but your secretary either didnt bother to find out the truth, or didnt want to give her the good news.
To round things off, several precious items have been broken and damaged. There was water damage too.
I am not using your services for my second container.
