My experience with Conroy Removals was excellent. Conroy in Melbourne (and again in NZ) was efficient, inexpensive, and reliable. Everything has arrived in less time than expected with no hassles.

Fantastic Constant Updates
Excellent service from everyone we dealt with. The constant update emails were fantastic - thank you! If our belongings hadn't arrived over the xmas new year period I believe we would have received our goods in about 5 weeks max! It still arrived promptly anyway, so we were really pleased.
Very Happy With Team Conroy
We were very happy with the Conroy team. Everyone we dealt with at Conroy was helpful and did what they could to make this stressful time as easy as possible for us.
We found the delivery partner that Conroy engaged to facilitate our transit (Suddath Relocations) to be somewhat troublesome. We received emails requesting additional fees (although we had been quoted and paid a fixed price by Conroy). Conroy intervened and resolved this issue....or at least it appeared to have been resolved.
Once we arrived in the US we were again had some difficulty with Suddath. We were not getting clear information on how long it would take to receive our container. When we were finally notified that it was going to be available for collection we were notified on a Wednesday midday and told we had to collect at 9am on Friday (a day and half later). We asked if we could collect on Monday as we were unable to arrange moving help for the Friday but could do Thursday (next day) or Monday (2 working days later). Suddath then informed us that we could not pick up the next day it was Friday only OR if we wanted to collect on the Monday we would have to pay a months worth of storage. We found this ridiculous. In Australia we were told we would need to collect our container within a few days. We would expect that being notified on a Wednesday, collecting on Monday would be reasonable. This caused a lot of stress. After much back and forth with Suddath they finally agreed to Monday. The Suddath side of things made the experience less than ideal. That said we had no issue with Conroy I just think there needs to be a bit more clarification with the partner agencies to make sure Conroy's agreements are upheld and they partner companies are not trying to get more money out of Conroy's customers. Of particular mention we found 3 staff members at Conroy to be excellent - Luke Golledge, Kim Stevens and Sylvan. Also the packers that did the packing in Sydney packed exceptionally well. We did not have any items damaged or broken. Suddath managed the clearing of customs well there was no issues, nothing extra we needed to do and no request for inspection so we were very happy with that. Suddath also managed to get it cleared through customs quickly so there wasn't additonal delays on their part which was great. All of our issues with Suddath were around these requests for additional money.

Made Smooth and Trouble Free
I wholeheartedly recommend Conroys removals. They bent over backwards to make my move smooth and trouble free. I was kept fully informed at all times and found the staff to be friendly and easy to deal with. Nothing was too much trouble.

Excellent Quote and Pre-Service
Quote and pre service = excellent, the 2 guys that came and packed my furniture and picked everything up were absolutely fantastic.
I found the pickup and delivery guys absolutely brilliant - friendly, professional and great customer service. However there were a few communication issues, e.g at the beginning of the process there was a misunderstanding over my goals, though I felt I'd been very clear in what I required. This was ultimately sorted out but it was extra stress when I really didn't need it. Also, for both deliveries, it was difficult getting answers as to when my gear would be delivered. It took a while to get everything to Hastings from Auckland and for the first delivery I had to call the office in Sydney in the end to ask them to contact the Auckland office to find out what was happening! Both deliveries had to be chased constantly - so communication overall was a bit poor. There were regular emails regarding shipping and customs clearance, but once the goods were in NZ I found it difficult to find out what was going on.
Another issue was the packaging - my mattress was wrapped in plastic by the pickup guys but when it arrived there were lots of tears in the packaging, right through to the mattress! Luckily it doesn't appear to have been damaged, but I found that a bit concerning. I expected some wear and tear, but I thought the mattress could have been handled more carefully.
I have recommended your services to friends, mainly based on the pickup/delivery and most of my gear generally arriving in good condition. I would also use your services again, but try to make sure I have a dedicated contact person for delivery.
