This could be due to either poor packaging by us or by the removalist throwing everything upside down, yes, when they literally dropped off the the stuff, they "dropped" off the stuff, either due to the heat or due to the heat in QLD.
We also paid quite a lot for the delivery also.
Best thing to do is hire a shipping container, load and unload yourself. You will take care of it, because it's yours not someone else's.
I'm not blaming Conroy, because there's no way they can control what the delivery guys do or even the transportation situation itself, but I just don't recommend this type of transportation to anyone who is body able to move their contents themselves.
If you are old and frail and you don't mind to risk your stuff being broken, this service is for you.

I have used your company twice now. The first time was really great and I had an amazing experience.. so much so that I returned.
This time round, service was poor. We were not informed very well about what was happening and where our shipment was and wasn't even given a delivery date. It was by chance that I phoned up to get an update and was told my items were being delivered the following day and that "someone should have called you". Well no, they didn't!! And the shipping updates still said that the items were in transit and no estimated delivery date was provided. I work in healthcare and was forced to organise cover etc to be present for part of the delivery time, my partner had to organise work off to be present for the other half. The person I spoke to was so unreasonable about the delivery date and time, despite THEM not contacting us. If I didn't call, my assumptions is that they would have just turned up and assumed it would be fine. People have lives too and not everyone can work from home or take a morning off.
We were also told our items would be delivered on a weekend (inc in price) and then later told it could only be done mon-Thursday from 8-12 or would be an additional cost outside of these hours. When I asked about this, the person said "even if you pay extra we can't do it because we have to pay staff overtime". Then why offer the service and why say it's included?? That's poor service and the communication was even worse!!
We were told our shipment would arrive in Melbourne by the end of Feb and be delivered around the same time or within the first week of March. This was not the case! I'm aware that there are delays, however the most frustrating thing was to find out when I called that our boxes were "pushed back" by the shipping company to prioritise others and that "the team in Auckland didn't tell you but the team in Melbourne know that they're over booking so you have to wait longer." Yes, covid has caused a lot of delays and disruption, but just be honest with customers. We would have been okay with the delays, just be honest and tell us upfront so we aren't left in the dark assuming the worst or chasing up because someone has forgotten to call about a delivery.
Some boxes arrive in poor shape and we had a few damaged and broken items, such as a few frames, several vinyls, water damage to some boxes and mattress.
Overal, happy to finally have our belongings but gosh what a process.
I was very happy with Josie from Brisbane and her service on the phone, she was wonderful to deal with and very friendly and courteous. I was also very happy with the men who delivered the items in Rockingham, Jamie & Brodie. They checked with the neighbour if she needed to move her car prior to parking the truck and also checked if she was happy for them to park where they did. Great job. I was very disappointed with the below -
* The fridge had one of the four handles removed and in the process one screw is now missing and the drawer is now loose. Why would they remove one handle only and not put the screws somewhere for safe keeping! Very disappointed about that.
* The inventory list that the men had on delivery did not correlate with what had to be delivered in Rockingham thus making it very difficult to reconcile what was expected to be delivered and what was to go to storage.
*When the items were packed in Port Macquarie, items to be delivered to Rockingham were clearly marked 'pack forward to Rockingham' and marked with 2 pink dots. When the goods arrived in Rockingham these items had not been packed forward and where scattered throughout the container and the men had to remove everything to access items required to be delivered - and there are still containers & boxes that need to be collected from storage that were missed (which is understandable) and boxes to be returned to storage.
A few boxes and containers were broken and minor items damaged which I understand coming interstate, however the above really have upset me as I went to alot of effort to sort out boxes and items for delivery and the removal of one handle and loss of a screw has me completely baffled.
I am in a position where I will now have to access my storage container to return items that were delivered and shouldn't have been and try to locate items that should have been delivered but weren't. I do not expect to be charged for this access.

Getting a quote and booking a move was seamlessly and professionally handled. The moving team was ontime, friendly and efficient. I have used Conroys in the past and will continue to use them in future.
