I moved from Melbourne to Gold Coast. The move was a 1 bedroom apartment. Obtaining the quote was probably the easiest part. I sent through a detailed list and the sales office called me to discuss all my items so I would receive an accurate quote. Once the quote was sent through, I sent an email asking how long it would take and I was told 8-10 days. This is why I chose Conroy. My items would go by rail. I accepted the quote and paid the full amount, upfront Total $5,513. Packers arrived on 11th Feb. That went perfectly.Uplift - 11/02/2022ETA Delivery - 19/02/2022On the 17/2/2022 (2 days before my furniture was due to arrive) I phoned Conroy Customer Service from Gold Coat and was told that my entire container was not being uplifted until the 28th of February!!. I asked why, and was simply told,"I cant answer that". I phone customer service again the next day and was told numerous excuses, but confirmed uplift from Melbourne 28th Feb. But on the 28th February my container could not be uplifted due to the floods. There was no customer service!! I had to make contact with Conroy myself every time for any updates. I was out of pocket thousands of dollars for the inconvenience and any substitute furniture & clothing I had to purchase just to live. My furniture and all of my belongings did not arrive into QLD until 17th of March. 5 1/2 weeks in transit!! I understand that the rail was jeopadised due to the floods, but what happended bofore that? It was a horrendous experience. All I had was 1 suitcase with 10 days worth of clothes. I was told 8-10 days and it took 5 1/2 weeks. I should be compensated.
Two of our items are damaged beyond repair:
- glass bowl (shattered) and
- metal foot pedal bin (dented on two sides).
Definitely no problems here. Communication was excellent from both ends, Townsville and Sydney. Delivery was on date and time arranged by two very friendly and efficient blokes. Many many thanks to John in Townsville and Sandra in Sydney.
The service and communication throughout was excellent.
All of the shipment was delivered in good order and in good time.

It has not been a great experience dealing with Conroy removals. The most helpfull and friendly staff was the guys delivering the items from the container to our property.
The amount of emails I've had to send to follow up and get more information about the process has been crazy.
When you call operations you don't get a response. Today I called sales as you can't run a business if you not making sales and got a very helpfull lady that could share more information about when the boxes that had been unpacked can be collected.
Overall not a great a experience.
We have unfortunately been fairly disappointed with our experience of Conroy Removals. We have moved numerous times over the years - including a previous international move - with multiple companies and Conroy have definitely had the poorest communication and (by far) the most goods damaged.
Our container was due to be shipped (NZ to Aus) in the first week of December, but we didn't actually receive it until the third week of March. Which is a long time to be without any furniture! Obviously the pandemic is currently responsible for global shipping delays, but we received minimal information about the situation, only getting any updates on progress when we contacted the company on the regular basis. I notified Conroy by phone and email three times that they appeared to have our phone numbers wrong, but the details were never amended so we waited further weeks for the delivery to be scheduled as they supposedly couldn't reach us. On the day of delivery it still hadn't been corrected.
I understand that I should have been proactive in thoroughly researching the exact customs requirements for Western Australia, but given that I asked Conroy several times about our goods e.g., transport of pantry items and bikes and were told that they were fine (and assumed that they were the experts), it was disappointing to recieve fines of $1330.
Delicate items such as cermics will always be at risk during a move, but I would have thought that it was common sense not to pack things like lamps at the bottom of a box underneath multiple other items. Our breakages include: desk, bedside table, 3x lamps, 2x pictures, 2x sculptures, 1x trophy, 2x cups.
We have still not received some of our possessions that are apparently being delivered separately but we have had zero communication regarding their whereabouts or delivery date.
The one positive experience was the team from Keys in Perth who delivered and unpacked the goods. We found them friendly, competent and hard-working.
Hi! Overall great! However my shipment was delayed due to the floods in NSW. I didn't mind the delay in itself at all, and it was naturally beyond all of us. BUT I resheduled work commitments and made arrangements to work from home etc etc to accommodate the arrival on the 11th. But there was zero communication from you guys regarding the delay. Instead I phoned to ask about it and found out it would be another week. This was very disappointing and frustrating. Such a simple thing could have been resolved prior to happening simply by you guys communicating the delay. The guys picking up and dropping were all lovely, and price etc has been good. So too the communication prior to this.. hence rating good and I would recommend, but something I'm sure you can fix easily for the next customer as I'm sure other would be frustrated too when it affect more than shipment itself (work, leave etc).thanks

Amazed certain things were not broken, the packing was excellent! To come all this way with no issues we were very happy with. All care was taken, team members were all very friendly and were all hard workers. Only critisism was that I wasn't notified of our goods having been unpacked and on the way to our house until late the night before by the truck driver. This meant we had about 12hrs notice to get the house organised and vacated of our borrowed furniture etc causing a bit of stress. A heads up the truck was being loaded would have been sufficient notice for the future. Otherwise very happy!
Packers where super friendly and worked very hard. Nothing was a problem for them. Great service!
