"efficient and clean"
It was a bit of a hassle to get a hold of the delivery team once our goods were cleared by customs. It was unlucky that there was a public holiday (1 day). But it took me several days to get a hold of someone to shedule a delivery. Once the delivery date & time were settled it was a great experience. The delivery men were nice, efficient and clean.

We had a complication with our goods. I was not advised by Steers in South Africa that I needed an import permit for my boat trailer and it caused an unnecessary delay in our goods being delivered once they arrived in Brisbane. Conroy was aware of our goods and the contents (including the trailer) in December, but only called for the import permit when the container arrived in Brisbane in January. It could have been called for earlier, but perhaps this is standard practice.
The delay was very stressful and we were told by the Conroy consultant that there was no way to seperate household goods from the trailer, without us having to pay GST on the value of the boat and trailer. This did not make sense to me and it was only after I kept questioning this (and phoning Border Security to get their views on the matter) that the shipment was deconsolidated and our furniture was seperated, without having to pay GST on any goods. By this time we had been living in a home for 4 weeks without our furniture and goods and this could have been reduced to 2 weeks had Conroy immediately deconsolidated the shipment when the issue of the import permit arose.
The consultant often also could not be reached by phone and I got the feeling that my phone calls were being deliberately avoided. I was not kept up to date in an extremely stressful situation and I would expect Conroy to understand the extent of the stress that clients are subjected to when they have moved countries and that regular communication is key to keeping their clients at ease and informed (I recall this being part of the message on the automated phone message of Conroy whilst you are on hold).
I was disappointed that Conroy did not immediately know that the goods could be deconsolidated when the issue of the trailer pemit came up and I was even more frustrated that the consultant did not regularly communicate with me.
The delivery team was excellent, very efficient and friendly, as was the subsequent package pick up team.

There was some confusion with the delivery people, they didn' tthink they were to unpack for us, but after a quick call to the office, everyone was on the same page, and they helped us unpack our boxes and took away the empty boxes.

Broken plate. furniture rubbed and marked. Missing 2 things from suitcase.
