Contact between Conroy and Simpsons in Uk was poor and Conroy were informed by me that i had a shipment coming. Information from Simpsons did not match the info given by Conroy, this i believe was Simpsons fault as they informed me by having Simpsons do all the packing would make custom clearance easier. This was not the case and Simpsons warned of possible quarantine fee, not definite ones. Simpsons also said the container to arrive at my doorstep would be sealed and be the same container from start to finish. I understand this is not practice but removal companies need to be clear on the procedures from start to finish. Conroy, i hope, have contacted Simpson Uk and told them to be more honest with fees and charges on arrival and container switches. Whats the point in giving me the container number and seal number when nothing matches on arrival? Please add not sure to questions 2 and 3
Several items (estimated worth $200) arrived broken
Several items (estimated worth $200) arrived broken. This could have occured before arriving in Australia; however, I did have a similar move two years ago with another carrier and absolutely nothing arrived broken.

"efficient and couldnt have been more helpful"
The two gents that unloaded and placed our furniture were proffesional, efficient and couldnt have been more helpful. I was dissapointed however to hear that i was actually booked for the fourth and last delivery after asking a week in advance to be booked for the earliest or first delivery on the confirmed delivery date. I only had that day off and lost half of it whilst waiting for my goods to arrive. There was one box that had about 5 broken item, all crockery and glassware...perhaps this particular box was dropped somewhere between Cape Town SA and Melbourne Australia.This is my only 'beef' otherwise I cannot fault your service, thank you.

My only complaint was that there was not enough time given for items to be unpacked. As we had a large delivery with many heavy crated items I opted for the created and large items to be unpacked. By the time they emptied the last truck it was getting close to dark. I think it would be unreasonable to then then asked the two guys to begin unpacking and stacking all the other items. For this size removal I would have expected two days for delivery and unpack.

"he staff at Conroys were efficient, polite and helpful"
I was very happy with the service, once my belongings had arrived at your depot in QLD from Darwin, NT. But, I was not impressed with your subsidiary in Darwin, Top End Removals. After specifically getting a person to physically come out and give me a quote, on the day of the removal, I was informed that no TV boxes were included in the pick up and that I would have to pay the extra and hope that some were available and someone could drop off, I felt blackmailed as I had been very specific. There was much squabbling between the boys, and one actually left prior to the pick up being complete. Later, when queried, the office claimed he went home sick, but I heard the arguing and complaining. The removalists were complaining that they were not informed of dismantling big items, TV boxes etc. yet I had been very vocal about these as I am a middle aged, unwell woman who was moving on her own. I am now in the process of claiming damages for several smashed and damaged items, as I am dealing with Top End, I hope this part is not as traumatic as the move. But as stated at the beginning, the staff at Conroys were efficient, polite and helpful. Particularly I would like to thank Sharnie.

Our experience with Conroy Removals was great from beginning to end. We were kept informed every step of the way, delivery was punctual and we weren't let down at any stage.

"Overall the entire move went smoothly"
Overall the entire move went smoothly BUT there was one of thing that stood out,
1/ After the boys (Good KIWI lads) had packed up our house and everything had been loaded & taken away we came across 1 kitchen draw that had not been packed, so we rang up the depot on Thursday ND July to advise them of this and Jaymee told us that someone would be out on the following Monday 6th July to collect it which was not possible as we were flying out on Sunday 5th July to New Zealand for good so we had to drive it all the depot in Caboolture. The frustrating part was that no one seemed to care and so it was up to us to get it to the depot.
2/ At the NZ end of our moved
I did not reply to first request as I had YET TO RECEIVE DELIVERY. Only too pleased to Now. Driver & assistant.... Superb. Office staff, Qld. & Vic. most efficient & courteous. Premier Van Lines, USA also Superb with co-ordination. 4 star, as wasn't necessary for All to be Unwrapped/unpacked, most co-operative overall.
