We can not speak more highly of Conroys for the exceptional service on two separate shipments where they packed transported then shipped and delivered to our door our family's household furniture and possessions. A Special Thank you to Kim from the Sydney office, Gary and the packing team from Brisbane and across to Auckland then Rob and the delivery team for their care on arrival at our new home in NZ. Your care and service was very much appreciated.

Amazing customer service
My situation was a tricky one but the help I received from Janelle in Melbourne was the most amazing customer service not only did she make the process as smoothly as possible she guided me through entire process, once Susan stepped in she followed the exact same customer service, very helpful, very kind and caring. Conroys made the shipment so easy I would say for myself. I would highly recommend Conroys to family and friends. Best customer service, best help and so happy with everything. Very quick aswell, I was well updated through out so I didn't have to question anything! Thank you!
All of the communication and packing process in Australia was great. However when our belongings arrived at our address in NZ there were pieces of furniture and a few of our boxes that were damaged and had scratches. 10 boxes were left at the depot when they came to deliver our belongings the first time so we had to organise for someone to be home again for a second delivery the following week. When the second delivery came Conroy left all our belongings packaged up and didn't remove any of the boxes or packing as they were meant to do because that was the service we paid for. Now we need to dispose of all the packaging ourselves. We have been in communication with the NZ depot team about 2 boxes being unaccounted for early last week but we still have not received a reply.
I found the "service" with Conroy’s TERRIBLE. I have moved home internationally on many occasions, and my experience with Conroy’s was by the worst. The problems started in Australia, with Gary doing only a cursory 10minute review of my household contents. I then received a 1-line quote with little explanation and no breakdown of the cost. Despite email enquiries and conversations over the phone, I could never get an answer. In retrospect, I should have realized the company was dodgy and not proceeded.
The movers I had were nice, and very hard-working... I have no complaint about them. However, one pointed out to me that the Conroy movers who had previously moved some of my household goods into temporary storage in my garage had packed heavy items on a clearly-labelled box containing a print. This had caused the glass to shatter and destroyed both the print and the frame. The Brisbane office refused to acknowledge my emails about this, or offer any apology or compensation.
Lack of communication has been a theme throughout my experience. As a result, there is a sense that Conroy's is withholding information so that they can then bill you for undisclosed charges. I am now experiencing this with the NZ office where they claim it is "international standard" to start charging storage costs from when a ship arrived rather than the date that my goods cleared quarantine. Instead I'm told that they delayed inspections (without informing or discussing this with me) as delivery wasn't a priority.
Staff in the Christchurch office could also benefit from additional training in communication and customer interaction.
Pretty smooth sailing, everything arrived in pretty good condition, considering the long journey.
Bit of a mix up on uplift day. Spent a lot of time myself engaging with PNG end as there was no form or checklist even after shipment arrival. Meant in the end I had to pay for storage at cargo warehouse for 9 days, which could have been completely avoidable with receiving the correct forms and full list of details required upfront
The entire process from first contacting CONROYS to having my items delivered in NZ I cannot fault. So glad I chose CONROYS as this move was pretty stressful. Thank you to the entire team. Very much appreciated.
