We were told we would have at least 2 packers on both days in Brisbane, however we had 2 for the first half hour and then one guy spent the whole day packing himself. The 2nd day he had someone with him but the process took much longer than they thought with only one person - he said many people had called in sick which can't be helped but I felt for this guy.
We were also given a quote which was approved, then I removed some items and the price came back exactly the same. I then had to add different items in, which in size and weight was less than what was removed and had to pay another $200 - didn't seem right or fair. We then had to pay another $300 in "difficult access" charges which was reduced from $500 after we said we would like to see the actual invoice that you will be charged from the Malaysians as there was obviously a huge profit being made from that portion. I think there is a tendancy to charge what you like, especially when a company is paying for it - I know I would look a lot closer at quotes and what is involved if I had to pay myself as I suspect extra charges get aded on just because you can.

Conroy removals were excellent, unfortunately the company in the USA left a lot to be desired, I was told the shipment would arrive in the wooden crates it was packed in, my belongings were delivered to my home in crushed boxes, with items broken due to being opened and just thrown back in without any thought, also items missing without any explanation.

"friendly and a great team"
We were so glad we used Conroy Removals, they were efficient, friendly and a great team to work with. We had a few quotes from several removal companies but found Conroy's to be more informative regarding New Zealand customs. We would like to thank the Perth and New Zealand office for their great work and we will definitely recommend Conroy Removals to our friends and family.

We were disappointed with our experience of the last leg of our move. Our experience with the UK removal company was truly excellent and we had high expectations.
Once our container arrived in Sydney on the 6th December, I rang your office to be told it would be impossible for a delivery date before 9th January 2017. When I received the second automated email, I rang again to be told it was a very busy period and I would have to wait until January.
I contacted our UK removal company to expedite the removal date, then we were given 28th December.
When your removal guys arrived, they said there should have been three of them but one didn't show up.
Because one of our neighbours had parked in front of the building, the vehicle had to park down the road 25 paces from the front door, for the first two hours.
Silvan from your office phoned at 9:15, he said we had to pay $350 more as the truck had to park a distance from the front door. He threatened to take the guys off the job if we didn't pay. We felt as though we were being blackmailed and found his manner very aggressive and unnecessary.
He finally settled on $275 which we paid by credit card, whilst the guys had stopped. He then phoned them to say they could continue unloading the truck.
At around 11.00 the parked car moved, we moved our car and the truck was parked right on the entrance to the building. Your guys finished two and a half hours later and left at 13:27.
I was surprised that they had no equipment at all except for a handful of Allen keys, a couple of spanners and a wrench. Nothing to help move any of the boxes or furniture.
We checked off each item as it arrived and unpacked absolutely everything except for the two beds, the Sofa and two armchairs. We also assembled all the furniture.
This was not what we were expecting as we had paid for a full service, but we were afraid the guys would not be able to finish due to fatigue from the heat as there were only two of them with no equipment.
The overall impression of the Australian leg of the move was aggressive and amateur.
