The only issue I had was having to waiting for removalist for hours as they were running late in Hamilton and Melbourne. Not a major issue as they had informed me of their significant delay.
Our furniture took longer than the original estimated time to arrive. While I understand that it must have been caotic during this time due to COVID19, this had been factored into the longer time estimated already. A little more communication during this long wait would have been appreciated since we had been making do without furniture for many months and were keen to receive it. However, I am sympathetic to how difficult it must have been for Conroys during this unprecedented time. Our items were very well packed and wrapped at pick up point and I appreciate it was a messy job for Conroys NZ to deal with since, also due to COVID19 we had to abandon our furniture in storage to get to Australia before the borders closed. We did not get the chance we had planned to organise our furniture properly for pickup or do an inventory list which had to be done by Conroys. A mattress went AWOL, however Conroys AU were able to track this down and deliver a few days later when they picked up our boxes and packaging.
I thought you guys provided a great service, well priced, all the staff I dealt with were great. I will and have reccomended you.
The part that could be improved was when my things were due to be collected, I had a friend go to my house to be there when the movers came to pick everything up. The movers had called to say collection was at 10am. By 10.45am she hadn't heard from them, she had called twice with no answer. I called the office 6 times and the calls went through to a voice mail service that I was told later that person wasn't in the office that day. I had also called and pushed the different extensions to try different people and it still went through to the same voicemail. I finally got through to someone who was in the wrong department who told me pick up was scheduled for 11am. I asked her to come back to me after she got in touch with the movers. They finally arrived at my apartment at 12pm, my friend had been there since 9.45am. It was a really poor experience.
However, like I said, everything else was gfreat.
Easy to deal with and quick responses
My move was from Hong Kong. The response re the arrival of the shipment and storage arrangement was very professional and efficient. It is the delivery which was a bit of a mess. Because I am still stuck in HK due to tthe virus a close relative of mine assisted with the delivery. In order to assist a smooth delivery in my absence I have sent through prior to the move date the packing list indicating where each box should go. This is the reason why the boxes are all numbered. Not only was this instrutcion ignored the crew proceeded to unpack the furniture outside . By removing the numbering on the boxes it not only complicated the move but also pose a risk of the furniture being damaged . They were unhelpful and in a rush . In addition they refused to assemble the pieces even though the service was confirmed by your partner here in Hong Kong. My relative has to argue to get them to do it. All I can say is the whole episode was disappointing and also affected the relationship I have with your moving partner here who guaranteed me that your company is reliable and very professinal.
