This is largely a criticism of your partner in the UK, Pickfords. But although there was some small print about "additional fees may apply" they did not give any meaningful information about the cost and so the additional $400 customs fee was a surprise. This was for one suitcase. A process which takes 10 minutes at an airport apparently takes days and costs hundreds of dolars when sent by sea. I would advise anyone with a small amount of goods to just go by air. It works out cheaper when you include the customs fee and avoids the months of lost time.Shipping by sea also involves much more pointless paperwork for these relatively small items. Would not recomend.
Friendly and helpful
The team that delivered to us were amazing. So friendly and helpful. They managed the other residents in the building as well when they needed access, always polite and helpful. Thank you.

I have been waiting for nearly 6 weeks after my arrival date to NZ mid October till early December and have not got my vehicle or furnitures. Renting car weekly 500 dollars, sleeping on a mattress on ground, using public washer machine to wash my clothes, need my work equipments in boxes. Such a messy situation.
A great job, many thanks
Conroy handled the Australian end of our move from the UK to NSW and did an excellent job. From handover to delivery we were kept informed and we were even able to track the container to its arrival in Sydney. We were kept informed of progress with Customs and Quarantine, and delivery was arranged promptly after clearance. Delivery was handled very professionally and thoroughy, ensuring that all items were checked off against the inventory, and any issues noted. The delivery team were very supportive and helpful in off-loading to the right rooms and helping with large pieces of furniture. A great job, many thanks to the whole team.
I would 100% use you again
You guys were awesome - I never had to worry about my things. You were super friendly and helpful - letting me know with email updates what was going on with my stuff so I never had to feel anxious about it all. I would 100% use you again. My stuff arrived early which was great and everything was in order and in good condition. Thank you for your great service!

Recommend them to anyone needing to complete a move
The team at Conroy Removals were excellent. Nigel was extremely helpful in booking the move. We took the packing option, and Harold was a champion packer, getting everything packed and labelled into boxes in 3 hours, which I am sure would have taken me days to do. Joe and his team were super efficient in the uplift to load everything into the container, and then again when unloading at the destination. Everyone was super friendly, professional, and courteous. They took the requisite care of all of the items being moved. I would absolutely use them again and recommend them to anyone needing to complete a move.

They kept us informed from the moment our shipment arrived in Australia until it was delivered to our home. The movers were very friendly.
On the day of packing. We had one person turn up to pack the entire home, they were there all day and clearly by the end of it had just had enough. The final box that was packed contained our subwoofer and a canvas painting that he had forgotten to pack, this was packed in a huge box far too large for the item with no packing materials at all!! The canvas was of course ripped and ruined. In addition to this we were advised by the packer that should any items not be likely to pass quarantine, that he would let us know. He packed up a ladder that apparently had cobwebs on it and a wheat bag which is not allowed in at all without treatment. It cost us $307 to simply dispose of these items on arrival as they wanted $198 alone to CLEAN A WHEAT BAG. I understand this was quarantine but the packer should never have allowed them to go in the first place. in addition to this the communication around the quarantine items was woeful. I would never use nor recommend conroys ever again. I would like a response regarding the canvas as I do have an image of how this box arrived which was absolutely disgusting, we are so far unable to test if the speaker is in working order.
